As Needed Managing Director, PRET | Corporate Finance & Restructuring

What You’ll Do
• Apply financial, operational and analytical skills to various client engagements (e.g. research, strategy formulation and implementation, financial modelling, operational and business plan assessment, due diligence reviews, M&A advisory, etc.).
• Prepare written reports, including quantitative and qualitative components, for clients and other professionals summarizing a project’s scope, findings, and recommendations.
• Lead and assist with new business development, preparing presentations and attending and leading meetings.
• Play a directing role in client engagements and oversee project administration including managing staff, project budgets and billing.
• Supervise, mentor and train junior staff in key areas of client services.

We support clients across the clean energy value chain, addressing the strategic, financial, operational, reputational, regulatory and capital needs of clean energy companies and their investors with a focus on wind, solar, biofuels/biomass, energy storage and emerging technologies.
Basic Qualifications / Qualifications & Experience
• BA with a minimum GPA of 3.4 (MBA, CFA, CPA desirable).
• 6 plus years of related work experience in power, renewables, energy transition or related fields including: consulting, asset management, banking, private equity, or applicable corporate experience.
• Relevant expertise in client service, tenacity in problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• This role requires travel to clients and FTI offices.
Specific Qualifications
• Extensive experience working with United States federal government agencies with a lending or grant-making program for large energy infrastructure projects, including but not limited to the United States Department of Energy, United States Development Finance Corporation, and/or Export-Import Bank of the United States. The candidate should have deep experience advising senior Lenders in all phases from origination to loan monitoring, as well as advising on collateral recovery of distressed loans.
• Prior experience supporting Lenders in overall transaction management, due diligence, application evaluation, financial analysis, project structuring, term sheet preparation, agreement negotiation, underwriting and loan monitoring of infrastructure projects who have received a conditional commitment for loan, loan guarantee, or grant funds from a United States federal government agency.
• Extensive technical experience in developing and financing geothermal and nuclear projects, including next-generation nuclear (e.g. SMRs, advanced reactors, etc) with a loan commitment greater than $1 billion with the United States Department of Energy as the direct lender or guarantor of the loan.
