Position Summary

• Apply strong accounting and taxation knowledge to complete month end close process and to handle statutory audits and tax filings
• Generate accurate management reports and perform analysis on financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the month end close process of Asia and managing the daily accounting operations of Asia regional office in Hong Kong.
• Assist in supervising a team of staff and provide guidance.
• Review client’s contracts and ensure proper revenue recognition.
• Perform analytical reviews on financial results on a monthly basis.
• Review journal entry vouchers and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents and professionals regarding audit, tax and other regulatory matters for Asia entities.
• Manage and oversee annual statutory audits, tax and secretarial compliance for Asia entities.
• Respond to enquiries from the US head office and Asia offices.
• Assist in streamlining workflow and procedures including working with accounting system support team to improve efficiency and enhance control of the system.
• Ensure internal controls in compliance with SOX.
• Assist in managing projects and ad-hoc assignments as required.

Key Requirements

• Qualified accountant.
• At least 5 years’ related experiences, of which 2 years or above in supervisory role at sizable companies, and MNC and/or Big 4 audit experience is highly preferred.
• Strong accounting and taxation knowledge in Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc.
• High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in system implementation would be advantageous
• Strong written and communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal,  analytical and project management skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
