Role Purpose:

The Cybersecurity team is primarily focused on the security of our people​ and data, as opposed to our technologies, internal security helps prevent data loss through controls and recognizing unusual behaviors that could indicate malicious activity or a compromised account. They also manage the E-discovery forensic service to support self identified incidents and support other investigative departments. The team also manage policies that apply to our data to ensure it is safe but usable across our business.

Role Summary:

The successful candidate will oversee data loss prevention (DLP) and manage insider risk, ensuring the security of our systems, data, and customers. 

Key areas delivered include:

• Managing and utilizing cyber security tooling and capabilities, including detection and monitoring activities with specific focus on data security.
• Investigating any suspicious activities on our systems and taking any necessary steps to remedy them in a timely manner.
• Reducing any risk or impact caused by a cyber incident.
• Advising the broader organisation on security best practices where applicable.

This role will work with multiple stakeholders within cyber and in wider areas of the business to achieve these objectives.

• Responsible for supporting, managing and utilizing cyber security tooling and capabilities.
• Responsible for running the investigation of any suspicious activities which are detected on our systems and taking necessary steps to prevent, detect and respond.
• Responsible for supporting in the reduction of any risk or impact caused by a cyber incident.
• Responsible for supporting in advising the broader organisation on security best practices.

Experience:

• The role holder will have previously held a role in cybersecurity and worked in data security incident management.
• Technical knowledge of computer network and systems and the necessary controls that can be used to prevent unauthorised access.
• Excellent strategic and operational business awareness, with a deep understanding of the key drivers, levers, issues and constraints of digital businesses.
• Experience within a customer focused environment.
• Experience of implementing and managing security monitoring and response in a complex organisation.
• Experience of working in an operational environment such as a SOC, CSIRT or CERT or related forensic function.
• Experience with Microsoft security data security technology deployments to identify and investigate incidents.
• Knowledge of investigating sensitive data and related incidents ensuring compliance with business sensitivities.
