Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic and self starter to join our Strategic Communications team in Perth with the ability to develop intelligent communications strategies and then implement those strategies.  With an exposure to work across our capital markets and corporate & public affairs clients, this position is suitable for someone who is seeking to take the next step in their career working on a range of clients across various industries.


Consultants contribute to project teams and accounts by completing assigned tasks accurately and on time with regular supervision.  Working with more senior team members on multiple accounts and serving clients, Consultants are also expected to creatively assist with new business research and proposals. They should also make professional development a priority by participating in both Strategic Communications and FTI Consulting training and development programs.  They should demonstrate a desire to learn about and understand the business in its entirety and be beginning to develop their professional network of industry contacts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with communication strategy development and execute a variety of tactics at the same time across financial market & investor relations and corporate & public affairs engagements
  • Support multiple client teams to deliver high-quality work focused on client needs
  • Draft client ready deliverables in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide strong project management
  • Support billing procedures to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client invoices
  • Establish and maintain solid relationships with clients
  • Work with managers to help clients assess their program needs
  • Actively participate in the creation of Strategic Communications business proposals and presentations
  • Consistently seek ways to improve client service
  • Support the development, production and marketing of thought leadership surrounding emerging trends and issues

Key Requirements

  • University degree in commerce, journalism or similar and/or 2-3 years employment – in areas of business (investor relations), media or government/politics
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Competency in using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Social, enthusiastic and eager to learn, and have an ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Excellent presentation style and skills
  • An aptitude and desire for learning and ongoing development
