About The Role

FTI Consulting’s Construction Solutions business unit is seeking planning and delay professionals with experience in construction claims analysis, project advisory services and construction scheduling. As part of the Forensic and Litigation Consulting practice, our Construction Solutions group offers a broad range of advisory services to assist owners, contractors and law firms in the prevention, mitigation, or resolution of engineering-, manufacturing- and construction disputes. The successful individual will have a master’s degree, typically in engineering, with three (Consultant) to five (Senior Consultant) years’ experience managing project controls, cost controls, and/or contracts as well as schedule delay and claims analysis. Knowledge of project change management best practices, construction cost accounting, labour productivity analysis, and scheduling are required. Prior consulting experience is a plus.

The position is full time and based in Frankfurt, Munich or Berlin.
What You’ll Do
  • Assist Claims and schedule delay analysis
  • Support project analysis meaning, reviewing, and structuring project documentation
  • Assist with the preparation of expert reports and dispute resolution
  • Provide a timely and high-quality service to clients that is proportionate to the issues to be resolved or service to be delivered
  • Take responsibility for providing high quality work
  • Comply with the Quality Assurance procedures of the practice

What You Will Need to Succeed  

Basic Qualifications·   

  • Master’s degree or degree equivalent in Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Asta, PowerPoint and Primavera
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize changing workloads
  • Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment and resourceful
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Professional, confident demeanor and appearance
  • Experience and willingness in business development activities
  • Proactive individual with strong drive, ambition, and enthusiasm
  • Excellent communication and written presentation skills and exhibits a strong executive presence
  • Capable of presenting and defending positions with rational arguments
  • Team player with positive and energetic attitude
  • Willingness to travel
  • English and German – professional working proficiency
