About the Segment
As part of the Asia Strategy, we are expanding our Korean businesses into Corporate Finance & Business Transformation services. In Business Transformation at FTI Consulting, we focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. Our services include pre-deal commercial and operations due diligence, post-merger integration, business plan development, restructuring and performance improvement including interim management. Our demanding customer base relies on small and senior teams.
What You’ll Do
- Undertake industry and company research, focusing on upstream and downstream to form a complete value chain analysis.
- Assist senior staff in managing various business operations and performance topics including lean transformation, EBITDA improvement, commercial due diligence, operational review and improvement, enhancement of supply chain management, strategic procurement, AI& digital tools implementation and improve customer service practices.
- Conduct business data analyze, operational procedures observation and function department personnel interview to identify cost saving potential along business value chain.
- Perform on site plant audit for operation due diligence, focus on production, logistics, maintenance, quality warehouse etc. for overall & specific supply chain & operation assessment.
- Relevant consulting or corporate experience in strategy, continuous improvement, procurement and sourcing, cost optimization, shopfloor management, organizational design or workforce optimization.
- Review and analyze financial statements, prepare projections, and assess business plans on client companies.
- Reconstruct accounting records from incomplete information.
- Perform financial, ratio and comparable company analysis, prepare financial and cash flow modelling, and assist with forensic investigations where necessary.
- Get hands dirty with new industries/clients to quickly assess the opportunities for improvement and implement necessary preparation work, working closely with Project Manager’s guidelines.
- Complete assigned tasks independently, accurately and on time with regular supervision.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree holder in Engineering, Business Administration or Accounting, Finance or Economics, etc.
- 3-5 years in supply chain or operations management / EBITDA improvement / growth strategy related experience.
- Obtained (or at the final stage of obtaining) APICS CPIM & CSCP, ISM CPSM or internationally recognised professional accounting or finance qualification will be as a plus.
- Self-motivated, independent, proactive and embrace any challenges.
- A good team player with excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to complete multi-tasks in a timely manner under pressure.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a consulting environment focusing on procurement, lean production, performance improvement or supply chain, etc.
- Strong attention to details.
- Strong work ethic, integrity and high level of professionalism.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Korean.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel when requested.
