ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:


The Corporate Communications Associate will support the Communications department to run day-to-day components of the Company’s internal communications and social media programs on a companywide, global basis. The Associate will work to engage employees across geographies, business functions and levels through the creation of engaging written and visual content for the Company’s global Intranet, newsletters, social media accounts and various internal communications platforms. The candidate must have superior writing skills and strong attention to detail.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has recently graduated college and is looking to begin their career in Corporate Communications with a global management consulting firm. Prior internship experience with a corporation or Communications/PR firm is highly recommended.


PRIMARY DUTIES:


Internal Communications:


• Assist in the development of internal company event communications, collateral and presentations

• Assist Corporate Communications colleagues in the development of various internal communications newsletters, including drafting, editing, designing and distributing original content via email management platform

• Work with Internal Communications Manager on engaging with diverse internal stakeholders (Marketing, IT, HR, business segments, etc.) to identify business/communications goals and translate them into engaging and creative content for the Intranet and internal newsletters

• Draft functional internal communications collateral (e.g., IT, HR, Marketing, Legal and Infrastructure)

• Support internal firmwide programs, including the Company’s Corporate Citizenship; Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging; FTI Awards and Women’s Initiative programs

• Assist in supporting the Company’s global Intranet program and responding to inquiries from employees

• Draft original content and post internal and external news to the homepage of the Company Intranet

• Collaborate with the Internal Communications Manager and IT colleagues to assist in designing and developing new Intranet pages

• Seek ways to improve engagement and training for employees on the Intranet

• Continually research the internal communications landscape and trends to ensure best practices are followed


Social Media:


• Collaborate with Public Relations and Marketing colleagues to draft social media content for external news, e.g. press releases, awards, corporate citizenship, thought leadership and events

• Assist Corporate Communications colleagues with the management of global social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.

• Strong understanding of social media and digital media analytics

• Experience using Hootsuite or similar social media management tools


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Marketing or Journalism (or related degree)

• Strong writing skills and superior editing skills

• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, social media

• Prior communications internship with corporation or Communications/PR firm


PREFERRED SKILLS:


• Experience using SharePoint 2010 or SharePoint 2016

• Experience using email management/distribution platform (i.e. Eloqua)

• Detail oriented and organized

• Ability to pick up on new processes quickly

• Ability to examine data to grasp issues, draw conclusions and solve problems

• Capable of managing multiple projects and assignments at once

• Loves storytelling and the ability to craft raw ideas into compelling messages

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

• Creative, innovative and collaborative

• Practical graphic design experience or strong eye for design

• Ability to think holistically and on a global scale
