What You Will Need to Succeed

 

Leadership

  • Self-starter able to operate within a global environment; manages differing initiatives/priorities effectively and efficiently
  • Experience in building, leading, coaching, and developing a team of finance professionals to higher levels of effectiveness
  • Ability to challenge, at a senior level, assumptions, and decisions in an appropriate manner to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
  • Strategic agility. Ability to anticipate consequences and trends and incorporate them into operational plans/activities

 

Finance & accounting

  • Strong core finance and accounting skills, deep working knowledge of US GAAP and German GAAP.
  • Synthesizes and communicates detailed financial information to enable understanding of segment and country results
  • Pragmatic and hands on individual – able to dig into the detail

 

Other competencies

  • Degree in business administration with focus on accounting, controlling or finance, ideally post-academic degree (Accountant, Wirtschaftsprüfer/CPA or similar)
  • Over 15 years of experience in accounting, finance and controlling in an international organisation
  • Ability to prioritise and coordinate with multiple contacts and external accounting service providers across DACH region
  • Hands-on mentality to create new processes
  • Demonstrates the highest level of ethical standards and unquestionable integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience of a professional services environment/consulting firm (desirable)
