Qualifications
Required:
- 8+ years of relevant data management consulting experience: master data, data architecture, data governance and/or data quality, EDW/Data lakes/datamarts setup
- Knowledge of multiple traditional and big data platforms/tools such as Teradata, Oracle, SAP, HP Vertica, MongoDB, MariaDB etc.
- Knowledge of one or more open source or cloud distributed platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Cassandra, S3, Redshift etc.
- 4+ years of experience leading and managing data management/engineering project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and go live.
- Significant experience leading complex data management/engineering engagements and team sizes ranging from 2 to 10 resources
- Willingness for weekly client-based travel, up to 80-100% (Sunday/Monday — Thursday/Friday)
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred:
- Experience working in the TMT space
- An advanced degree or professional certification in the area of specialization
- Experience with program leadership, governance and change enablement.
- Proven skills as a team member, team lead or project manager on multiple full life cycle implementations.
- A proven resource in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
- Eagerness to mentor junior staff and raise quality of DM&A strategy, design and implementation across the practice by sharing insights and methods through training, community, etc.
- Adept at implementing technology-enabled business solutions for clients as part of a high-talent team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
- Ability to collaborate with clients and have a strong desire to excel.
