What You Will Need to Succeed
Qualifications
• University degree in Computer Science, or Mathematical Science (Mathematical statistic, data science degrees)
Requirements
• An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities;
• A team player with excellent communication and presentation skills;
• Customer service orientation;
• Interpersonal skills;
• Ability to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical, and powerful manner;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
• High level attention to detail; and
• Excellent organisational skills.
The below are essential
• Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel;
• Intermediate level or higher in other Microsoft office application such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.; and
• Knowledge of programming or scripting (SQL, Python, Java, C#, Visual Basic, PowerShell)
The below are desirable but not essential
• Familiarity with email servers (e.g., Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes) and cloud-based services and solutions (Azure);
• Knowledge of data visualisation software in particular PowerBI ; and
• Basic knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering and Regulatory compliance in South Africa and the willingness to become a subject matter expert and specialise in Financial Crime Compliance.
