Position Summary
The Strategic Communications segment of FTI Consulting is seeking to hire a Director/Senior Director who should have a proven ability to both service client companies on a day-to-day basis and contribute to new business development. The candidate should also have a strong interest in developing a strategic approach to communications, excellent written and verbal communications skills and an ability to help manage junior team members as a collegiate team player. The candidate should be mature, results-oriented, and prepared to learn and utilise new approaches to communications as part of a leading global communications consultancy business.
We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of strategic communications that leverages our integrated suite of services, including financial communications, corporate reputation, transaction communications and public affairs in all the major markets around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day management of corporate communications client accounts, with the ability to actively participate in the firm’s financial communications assignments desirable.
Work with a highly motivated team in the Hong Kong office to strengthen the corporate communications practice of the office.
Work with senior management to provide input towards the development of the firm’s strategic direction in the market.
Lead the creation of high-quality written proposals for existing and new clients.
Provide input for the Hong Kong office’s marketing and promotional activities in Asia.
Manage and mentor junior team members.
Key Requirements
University degree
7 years+ of relevant financial, business consulting or corporate communications experience a plus
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Chinese
Business-level fluency in verbal and written Korean a plus
Genuine curiosity and interest in global and local news and macro economic and geopolitical developments
Great work ethic with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments
An aptitude and desire for learning and ongoing professional development
Analytical approach to creating quality work product
Ability to be independent, work under own direction and manage own time; and in close collaboration with the local and global teams
Strong attention to detail
Excellent presentation style and skills
Competency in using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and AI tools
