What are we looking for?
After successfully launching our practice more than a year ago in Australia, we are now looking to build on our existing team and experience to deliver even more value to our clients.  We  have offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth and would consider applications to work in any of these locations.   

We are seeking economists across all levels with minimum 3 years’ experience in:

• cost benefit and economic impact analysis
• benchmarking
• program evaluation
• market assessments
• effectiveness and efficiency reviews
• business cases

We look for people that can take complex problems and use strong analytical frameworks and communication skills to deliver robust solutions to clients in straightforward, non-technical language.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake economic research and analysis to inform our clients’ decisions – including economic, financial and econometric modelling
• Produce reports, presentations and other client deliverables
• Contribute to business development, including identifying new opportunities and preparing proposals and bids
• Develop and acquire new skills by participating in internal and external training and educational opportunities

Desired skills & experience

At the economist/senior economist level we are looking for: 

•  A post-graduate degree in economics, finance or a related discipline
• Strong quantitative skills (cost-benefit, economic impact assessment and modelling). Experience with econometric or statistical packages would be advantageous but is not essential
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills, and a positive and flexible approach
• Experience of using Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
