Position Purpose:

The Global Mobility Associate will support local HRBPs, leadership, and other internal stakeholders in all activities involved in the cross-border movement of our employees and their families, including immigration, tax and relocation guidance. The role will report to the Manager of Global Mobility and play an important role in managing risks and executing compliance requirements related to FTI employee international relocations in accordance with FTI policies and processes, across all countries where FTI operates. The role will have primary responsibility for executing the terms of the global mobility case across the lifecycle.

 

Primary Duties:

• Assist Global Mobility team in providing guidance to HRBP’s and other internal stakeholders for all matters related to Global Mobility and Immigration as needed;

• Manage and update Global Mobility and Immigration case tracker files to monitor expirations and ensure data integrity related to FTI’s Global Mobility population.

• Analyze mobility data to better identify global mobility trends, employee engagement issues, and other opportunities to improve program management;

• Assist with global immigration program management, including coordination of work authorizations for new hires and business travelers, expiration tracking and renewal management, periodic review of right-to-work compliance, and strategic long-term immigration planning;

• Manage vendor invoice process for all designated Global Mobility vendors.

• Acting coordinator for all aspects of the global mobility lifecycle from initiation to case completion; including relocation, expense reimbursements, payroll, immigration, tax, assignment expiration tracking, repatriation and all other areas of risk and compliance;

• Provide first-level review and resolution of requests outside of policy guidelines; make appropriate recommendations to FTI’s Global Mobility Manager on complex cases;

• Build and develop relationships with service providers for immigration, relocation, and tax, to ensure outstanding customer service, policy compliance, and data integrity;

• Liaise with employees, Travel Manager, HR Advisors, Payroll teams, and other internal stakeholders to monitor business traveler activity and ensure compliance and mitigate risk related to immigration and tax issues;

• Liaise with HR Advisors and payroll managers across various regions to ensure proper alignment of compensation paid with services performed for existing Global Mobility cases;

• Assist in the compensation data collection process for all current mobility cases and report data to various country payroll managers;

• Work with other members of the Global Mobility team to continue to grow the function, educate the business on risk mitigation and compliance, and provide subject matter expertise in the area of global mobility and immigration to internal stakeholders across all regions where FTI conducts business.

 

Education and Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in international business, accounting, or finance; • 3 years of experience in Global Mobility role or a related role within a Professional Services Firm;

• Demonstrated knowledge of global mobility services, including but not limited to immigration, tax and relocation;

 

Preferred Skills:

 

• Knowledge of and conversant in expatriate tax and immigration compliance principles and legislation;

• Strong communication and customer service with a focus on empathy and cultural adaptivity;

• Demonstrated program management and vendor management skills

• Strong global mind-set with experience working in a global organization;

• Proactive planning, execution, and multi-tasking skills with demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment;

• Advanced knowledge of Excel and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite.

• Experience working in Peoplesoft is a plus.

 

Technical Skills:

 

• Working knowledge of HRIS systems, specifically Peoplesoft a plus;

• Advanced Excel skills
