About the Role

 

We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic and well-organised individual who understands the importance of employee experience and is keen to gain a broad range of experiences across the HR spectrum to join our Australian team. This is an ideal role for an experienced HR Administrator or Coordinator looking to take the next step in their HR career.

 

What You’ll Do

 

You will be responsible for providing administrative support and coordination to the Human Resource team for FTI Consulting Australia across 5 locations; Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Proactive, with strong attention to detail and the ability to think outside the box, you will work closely with the Managing Director, HR, HRBPs and Talent Acquisition team to provide a solid foundation to our high performing, dynamic HR team.

 

Additionally, you will:

    Provide administrative support across the Employee Life Cycle (on-boarding, progression, development, retention & separation), for employees, consultants and contractors

    Work with the Global HR Service Centre to ensure employee data is accurately updated and maintained in our global HRIS

    Own, plan and coordinate FTI’s health & wellbeing program nationally

    Manage Workday Help Case Workspace and respond to first level policy and people process questions from employees and leaders across the organisation (be the first point of call for HR queries form the business)

    Conduct new joiner and exit interviews

    Track and assist with probation completion

    Work closely with the HRBPs to facilitate the annual engagement survey process, including assisting with coordination of results rollouts and focus groups

    Assist with recruitment processes and administration, including Graduate and Intern recruitment activities

    Work with our external immigration agency, Fragomen, to monitor and coordinate visa applications; ensuring ongoing compliance and working right maintenance across the business

    Work closely with the HR team to coordinate the annual performance management, talent reviews and compensation review processes

    Manage and maintain the monthly payroll spreadsheet; working closely with our external payroll provider and the Finance team

    Assist with logistics for learning and development events, including sending out course invitations to attendees, preparing learning materials, sourcing and booking course venues, coordinating travel and accommodation requirements and organising catering

    Track attendance at learning & development events and ensure attendance is recorded in the central LMS

    Evaluate training procedures, analyse course effectiveness and update curriculum and course logistics as needed

    Coordinate the quarterly new joiner induction program

    Assist with creating HR content for FTI Connect (monthly newsletter), HR Hub (IMS Cloud), Atlas (Employee Intranet) & the Employee Service Centre

    Prepare marketing materials for graduate activities and new starters and keep inventory (i.e. brochures, gifts, etc.) up to date

    Prepare and update organisational charts and produce HR reports as required, including the WGEA Survey and other regulatory required reports

    Process study reimbursement and professional membership applications

    Assist the MD, HR with regular reporting and HR metrics as needed

    Support Workday data preparation and validation activities and assist with HR cases and processes as required.

    Provide additional support on various ad hoc/ on-going HR projects where required

Qualifications & Experience

 

    Minimum 3 years Human Resources administration or coordination experience required, preferably related to financial or professional services.

    Experience with global HRIS and Talent Development systems required, ideally Workday

    Experience in coordinating in house and external learning programs required; exposure to survey tools and analysing data an advantage

    University degree – preferably in Human Resources or business-related discipline

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Able to work independently in a small, high performing team and meet multiple deadlines and priorities

    Team player with the ability to build partnerships with clients, vendors/ preferred suppliers and HR colleagues

    Accountable for projects and own time management

    Highly motivated with a proactive work ethic and good attention to detail

    Ability to use initiative, problem solve and “think on your feet” to meet business requirements

    Able to handle the highest level of confidential issues with the utmost sensitivity

    A basic knowledge of Australian employment law or best practice procedures would be advantageous
