About The Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Director to join our team on an 8-month fixed-term contract, running from July 2025 through to March 2026.

The role of the HR Director is critical in helping us manage key people issues across the business and continuously improve the service HR provides to its internal clients. Reporting to, and working closely with, the Regional HR Leader (VP of HR EMEA), the HR Director will provide strategic support to the Middle East & South Africa country cluster by implementing HR strategies, goals, and objectives that align with the global HR agenda and overall business needs. The focus will be on retaining and developing talent within the organisation, while managing a HR Business Partner and receiving operational support from a HR Advisor and HR Associate.

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Work with the Regional HR Leader to implement HR strategy, goals and objectives which are aligned to the Global HR agenda and overall business needs.
  • In conjunction with segment HR leaders, lead the management, development, and continuous improvement of HR activities across the region, with a focus on retention, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, talent planning, and HR data and management information.
  • In collaboration with the Manager of the Global HR Shared Service Centre, oversee local team members to ensure adherence to approved policies and the timely, accurate execution of all HR operational processes, including contracts and offer letters, salary reviews, bonus payments, leaver administration, and complex global mobility arrangements.
  • Drive team performance by consistently reviewing individual and collective contributions, ensuring all team members receive constructive, timely, and honest feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Regional HR Leader on the annual budgeting process to ensure alignment with business and HR priorities.
  • Oversee the annual compensation process, including market data analysis, while supporting and guiding the HR Business Partner and Advisors as needed.
  • Provide expert employee relations support to the Employee Relations Centre of Excellence, helping to mitigate risk and ensure compliance across the firm.
  • Contribute actively to the Talent Planning process, supporting long-term workforce and succession strategies.
  • Partner with HR and Talent Development colleagues to design and implement impactful talent development programmes.
  • Support the development and execution of global HR projects and initiatives that align with and advance the Global HR strategy.
  • Foster the growth of team capability, regardless of direct reporting lines, by promoting development and knowledge-sharing.
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to strengthen and enhance the HR function across the EMEA region.
  • Lead the annual employee engagement feedback initiative, ensuring insights are gathered, analysed, and used to inform continuous improvement.

What You Will Need to Succeed 

  • Solid understanding of the complexities of a diverse market in the Middle East & South Africa, multiple countries, legal frameworks and political challenges.
  • The ability to connect and engage with people at all levels of the business, with experience managing senior stakeholders in a complex business matrix.
  • Strong influencing skills and with the gravitas to command professional respect at all levels.
  • The ability to understand business strategy, aims and goals, and the passion to drive this through, challenging the status quo where necessary.
  • Be confident, calm and credible with excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to independently solve problems and make recommendations to remediate issues.
  • Be able to demonstrate, promote and articulate the highest levels of integrity and appreciation of the importance of ethics and compliance.

 

Basic Qualifications and Experience

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive HR leadership experience in the Middle East region.
  • Strong understanding of labour laws and employment best practices in the GCC countries.
  • Highly proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Professional services experience is highly preferred.
  • Regional Workday implementation experience or system knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of labour laws in South Africa is desired but not essential
