ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Learning & Development Operations Manager will be part of FTI’s dynamic Global Human Resources practice. This position will report into FTI’s Managing Director, Global Learning & Development (L&D). They will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of FTI’s talent development framework and providing operations support to enable the effective and efficient delivery of learning solutions for all levels, functional areas and geographies to build the requisite skills for FTI professionals to deliver business results today and in the future.
 
PRIMARY DUTIES:
• Manage the L&D Operations Team to the successful achievement of FTI strategic learning priorities across a variety of modalities including classroom training, virtual training and e-learning self-studies.
• Instill a customer service mindset into our Learning operations team focusing the planning, budgeting and delivery of the learning solutions. 
• Liaise with the Learning Solutions Lead, who is responsible for program design and development. 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide input into the L&D strategy and oversee customer service driven learning operations to enable the effective and efficient delivery of related annual and longer-term priorities through the following:
• Leadership
o Lead, coach, and mentor the Global L&D Operations team
o Manage training operations, including teaming with leadership on strategic practice planning, delivery and evaluation
• Global L&D Delivery Support
o Champion a customer service approach to serving the businesses learning and development needs
o Serve as liaison between the segments and participants while adhering to L&D policies and procedures
o Provide onsite management of classroom programs such as FTI leadership programs, New Hire Orientation and FTI University
o Provide instructor care and preparations
o Oversee course materials and collateral management
• Global L&D Budget
o Partner with the Global L&D Managing Director to manage the L&D budget including planning, accruals and actual expenses to determine tuition allocation
o Track expense trends, costs associated with training courses as well as individual budgets
• Continuing Education Credits
o Manage the CPE process for FTI Consulting - Manage all aspects of curriculum delivery; drive and monitor credits and compliance; review, process and track training approvals
o Adhere and comply with all NASBA requirements for course development, delivery and record retention
• Global L&D Vendor Management
o Lead the vendor management process in support and in partnership with the Learning Solutions team.
o Provide event management support including negotiating and contracting learning venues and conference centers that meet the business needs and program needs within budget
• Global L&D Tracking, Reporting & Communications
o Oversee technologies that support and advance learning
o Optimize the Learning Management System
o Oversee the management of attendance, course records and individual records in FTI’s learning management system
o Maintain training catalogs, course descriptions (prerequisites) and global calendars
o Create effective measurement, evaluation, and reporting processes for course delivery. Collect and analyze data on the effectiveness of learning initiatives and the efficiency of the learning organization.
o Create effective reporting on L&D KPIs for senior management
o Manage the Global Learning & Development intranet presence to market and communicate Global L&D opportunities
o Advance the Global L&D brand
 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in global learning & development operations
• Minimum of 3 years working in professional services environment
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
 
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Ambitious self-starter with a needs and solutions based orientation and elevated ability to execute globally
• Excellent project management skills
• Highly analytical mind-set
• Highly competent using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Financial acumen - Ability to develop and interpret financial and other complex data
• Negotiation and contracting within budget
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills; ability to interact with people at all levels
• Ability to lead a high performing team
• Experience implementing L&D policies globally
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and leadership regarding operational matters
• Ability to operationalize and execute on Learning Plans
• Track compliance records in LMS and report
• Ability to accommodate up to 30% business travel
