About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Finance Analyst, to support Strategic Communications global management team towards achieving our company’s short-and long-term financial goals. This position will play a key role in serving as the liaison connecting our frontline practitioners with our finance back offices, shaping the way our leaders see how they create value for the segment and helping them manage financial performance of our organization. We are seeking people with solid experience with financial statements and reports, finance operations, processes, and systems. The role will report to the Director of Finance, with exposure to the segment’s leadership team.
What You'll Do
- Analyze the segment’s business operating results on a monthly basis, develop appropriate commentary for different audiences. Work with segment/regional/industry leads to understand business drivers, issues, and opportunities.
- Assist with managing the month-end close and quarter-end close financial processes alongside the accounting team to identify and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Design and produce appropriate monthly management reports for segment leadership. Provide analysis for management decision making.
- Continuously improve accuracy, efficiency, and speed of reporting.
- Continue to develop reporting content and processes to meet evolving needs.
- Analyze financial performance and derive appropriate business intelligence to inform decision-making.
- Maintain and create dashboards in Power BI to meet evolving management reporting needs.
- Assist with building business projections on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis; assess risks and opportunities.
- Actively participate in quarterly forecast, helping to manage the forecast process for specific sub- practices alongside practitioners.
- Actively participate in annual budgeting process, including understanding cost and economic assumptions and compiling presentations for Senior Management.
- Partner with Human Resources to ensure that talent and compensation planning are aligned with forecast/budget goals/constraints, as well as with strategic business needs.
- Assist with managing the segment’s processes and cadence; support operational improvements within the department to increase our productivity and enhance our role in supporting the business.
- Develop and track a consistent set of key financial/operational performance indicators (KPIs), such as pricing trends and profitability.
- Participate in, and/or lead special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed, to support segment or Corporate needs.

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- BS or BA Degree
- 3+ years of experience in financial areas with focus on financial analysis and operations
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning and overall FP&A duties
- Demonstrated experience with financial statements and analyses (variance/ trend analyses, valuation), financial operations, management reporting processes are a must
- Expert knowledge in financial systems, TM1, Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, database or other report writing tools
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite products, specifically Power BI and SQL
- Working knowledge of revenue recognition rules under US GAAP and practical application into revenue forecasting
- Ability to influence others without direct reporting relationships; ability operate in a matrix organization
- Detail-oriented and dependable; ability to work independently and to appropriately manage expectations around deliverables and timeline
- Fast, eager learner and versatile, ability to adapt to complex, changing, ambiguous environments
- Proactive, self-starter with a leader
