About the Opportunity

 

The Senior Marketing Associate will provide essential marketing support to both FTI’s Cybersecurity and Strategic Communications practices.

 

This position will support both practices handling various marketing activities, including but not limited to event management, social media, internal and external communications, and CRM management.

 

This job will require some travel, up to 15%. This position will report directly to the Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer for Cybersecurity and Marketing Manager for Strategic Communications, Americas.

 

 

Primary Duties for Cybersecurity and Strategic Communications

 

Event Management

  • Research and assess event, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities to determine potential value and ROI
  • Secure sponsorships and speaking engagements through outreach and/or application processes
  • Maintain calendar of events and track due dates and deliverables
  • Plan and execute logistics for internal and external events, which includes:
    • Researching potential venues and vendors
    • Communicating with attendees on confirmations and logistics, including travel and schedule.
    • Liaising with event coordinators, vendors, and venues to organize on-site arrangements.
    • Tracking and managing event invoices and budget
  • Collect and record attendee feedback post-event
  • Debrief with event speaker to determine value, lessons learned, takeaways, etc.
    • Add any new, relevant contacts to the CRM database

Communications

  • Prepare social media content and messaging for both Cybersecurity and Strategic Communications social media channels, content hub, and newsletters, in addition to social media kits for FTI professionals

·       Assist in managing the editorial calendar to ensure a consistent and timely stream of content

  • Assist in writing and reviewing various communications materials, including press releases, talking points, call for speaker/paper submissions, and award nominations

·       Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and strategies

  • Research notable award listings, research studies, and the like for opportunities to conduct personal business development outreach

·       Monitor analytics and reporting to identify viable opportunities

·       Assist in creating and managing a database of marketing assets, collateral, and credentials

 

CRM Management

 

·       Liaise with our Salesforce and Corporate Research teams and segment professionals to build and maintain CRM database

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of marketing experience.
  • Marketing, event management, and/or communications experience with a professional services firm, law firm or corporation is highly desired.

 Skills 

  • Superior communication including writing, speaking and listening.
  • Excellent, concise and persuasive business writing skills (writing sample submissions required).
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design is preferred, including Photoshop, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, WordPress and email management platforms (Eloqua) and client relationship systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Decisiveness and excellent use of independent judgement.
  • Ability to interact, communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Act as spokesperson for FTI for external audiences.
  • Ability to travel as required (15%).

 

Preferred Knowledge

  • Understanding of the Cybersecurity and Strategic Communications practices’ competitive positioning leveraged to contribute to the development of messaging, marketing strategies, and proposals.
  • Basic understanding of key business issues Cybersecurity and Strategic Communications clients are facing and aligning go-to-market strategy and point-of-view(s) around those issues.
