About the Role 

In FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment, we focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial, and labor needs by addressing the full spectrum of unique challenges faced by our clients within the travel industry. In FTI’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring group, the Aviation and Human Capital group provides clients with direct-industry experience to help navigate the challenges and opportunities they face. 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Provide technical expertise and client service at an advanced level; manage client relationships, and manage staff within the practice itself.

  • Supervise and direct client engagements while managing and working closely with consultants and senior consultants. 

  • Prepare and review work products, financial statements, models and reports for accuracy and completeness; conduct discussions with clients about status and results of work performed; prepare and review work plans; ensure assignments are carried out within scope, budgeted time and delivery commitments; follow progress of engagement, update Managing Directors and Senior Managing Directors; help resolve analytical and technical problems as they arise. 

  • Apply business, economics, finance, accounting and analytical skills to various client situations and practice disciplines in both a hands-on and managerial capacity (e.g. financial modeling, ratio and comparable company analysis, review/analysis of financial statements and projections, assessing business plans, conducting due diligence, etc.) 

  • Understand, synthesize and analyze large amounts of data associated with complex restructuring, due diligence and litigation cases.  Present relevant analysis and summaries for interested parties including clients, FTI management or attorneys. 

 

How You’ll Grow 

This is an excellent opportunity for a person with proven, hands-on analytical experience, and interest/exposure to travel industry, who wants to provide analytical and strategic services to our clients and other stakeholders of companies looking to address the challenges they are facing. 

 

What You Will Need To Succeed 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline involving quantitative analysis.

  • 7+ years of related professional experience in the airline industry, consulting, or another travel-related environment

  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and conceptual skills.

  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Internet-based financial research resources for corporate information, SEC filings, competitive data, etc

  • Ability to travel up to 80%
