About The Role:

The role of the EMEA Senior HR Business Partner is critical in helping us to manage the key people issues of the business and to continuously improve the service HR provides to its internal clients. Reporting to, and working closely with the Segment HR Leader, the Senior HR Business Partner will provide strategic support, oversee HR matters for the Strategic Communications EMEA region and serve as a local resource to the EMEA in-country HR Business Partners and HR Advisors, who form part of the Global HR Shared Services Centre.

Our Strategic Communications segment designs and executes communications strategies for management teams and boards of directors to help them seize opportunities, manage financial, regulatory and reputational challenges, navigate market disruptions, articulate their brand, stake a competitive position, and preserve and grow operations. What You Will Do:

The key responsibilities of the EMEA Senior HR Business Partner are set out below – there may be others which are not listed:

  • Work with the Segment HR Leader to implement HR strategy, goals and objectives which are aligned to the Global HR strategy as well as to business needs to retain and develop talent in the organisation.
  • In conjunction with the Segment HR leader and EMEA in-country Business Partners, lead the management, development and continuous improvement of HR related activities in the areas of Retention, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Talent Planning and Data Management Information to ensure that systems and best practice processes are in place and are aligned to support our ability to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Work with the Segment HR Leader on the annual budgeting process.
  • In collaboration with the Segment HR Leader, oversee the annual compensation process including market data analysis, and provide guidance to the HR Business Partners and Advisors as appropriate.
  • Provide high level employee relations support to the HR team, managing risk for the Firm.
  • In collaboration with the Manager of the Global HR Shared Service Centre, oversee local members of the Global HR Shared Service Centre to ensure compliance with approval policies and the timely and accurate processing of all HR operations.
  • Take ownership of the quarterly Talent Planning process in partnership with the Segment HR Leader.
  • Coordinate EMEA needs in Compensation, HR Systems, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Development with the relevant HR Centres of Excellence and Leadership.
  • Partner with Strategic Communications and with HR and TD colleagues in designing and implementing talent development programmes.
  • Contribute to global projects and initiatives supporting the Global HR strategy.
  • Enhance team capability through skill development initiatives. 
  • Embed diversity principles in all elements of HR advisory work.
  • Lead the annual employee engagement feedback initiative.

Basic Skills and Qualifications (or equivalent):

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
  • The ability to understand business strategy and recommend approaches that support the strategy, challenging the status quo where necessary.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating expertise in negotiating and navigating complex situations.
  • Demonstrates a pragmatic, hands-on approach to commercial challenges.
  • The ability to connect and engage with people at all levels of the business.
  • Demonstrates a passion to drive through the people strategy.
  • Confident, calm and credible with excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Extensive HR generalist experience in a senior role, ideally within a complex and fast paced environment; Professional Services experience preferred.
  • Possesses excellent employment law knowledge and exposure to complex employee relation issues – including performance management, redundancies, change programmes and TUPE; strong understanding of legal implications and the ability to plan and deliver accordingly.  EMEA knowledge is essential.
  • Ability to independently solve problems and make recommendations to remediate issues.
  • Effective leadership and management skills, demonstrated through specific achievements or examples.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote and articulate the highest levels of integrity and appreciation of ethics and compliance importance. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including advanced business writing ability.
  • Exceptional eye for detail and organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Proven track record of adding value to a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data effectively. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team member. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
