About the Role
The Senior Manager, Client Events will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of FTI's global event strategy and follow-up framework while acting in an events advisory and production role for stakeholders across the U.S. Corporate Finance (CF) segment. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role will manage a team of professionals, implement best practices, ensure consistent delivery of pre- and post-event processes, and provide reporting and insights that demonstrate ROI to segment and corporate leadership on a regular basis. The Senior Manager will also have strong events management expertise and will oversee the production of Corporate Finance keystone programs. This role will work closely with the corporate teams to ensure Corporate Finance client events are elevated, measurable, and aligned to the firm’s go-to-market strategy. This role will have split responsibilities between Corporate Finance (70%) and cross-enterprise (30%) event programs.
What You’ll Do
Client Event Governance, Process & Operations
Assist with the implementation of the firm-wide event approval process across CF, ensuring consistency with global standards while tailoring to individual business needs.
Champion and train CF teams on post-event follow-up processes, tracking engagement with the assistance of CRM, and drive accountability at senior leadership levels.
Contribute data to firmwide dashboards and analytics on event ROI, ABM, and client engagement metrics and deliver biannual CF&R ROI reports to the Managing Director.
Implement changes in process and influence key senior stakeholders to follow new procedures to centralize tracking of event interactions.
Work with the Managing Director to develop and manage an annual centralized event activation budget with inputs from business stakeholders that can be drawn upon for critical GTM initiatives.
Develop success measures to evaluate all major events against objectives, including recommending areas for improvement.
Utilize data from past events to enact changes to improve future results; maintain documentation of events for future reference.
Manage sponsorships and relationships with trade organizations, conference organizers and other third-party partners, and act as main point of contact between CF&R’s business and these relationships.
Continuously implement best practices, policies and workflow procedures to ensure the efficient and effective execution of all events.
Ideate and implement ways to elevate our events and sponsorships.
Client Event Delivery, Execution and Management
Exclusively own and oversee all aspects of planning and production for CF’s keystone event programs (CF Summit, M&A Conference, etc.), including:
Soliciting proposals from, and conducting site visits and inspections of potential event properties, including hotels and resorts, restaurants, bar/lounges, and special event spaces
Working with in-house design staff to develop creative and compelling event themes
Developing and managing event timelines, communicating deadlines and assignments to marketing staff and external vendors, as necessary
Utilizing the events system to run reports, manage lists, and track RSVPs, attendance, follow-up, etc.
Conducting post-event evaluations/scorecards, including client and participant satisfaction and ROI, establishing appropriate budget management and tracking in financial and expense systems
Negotiating contracts for venues, caterers, and other vendors and suppliers, working closely with the procurement team to ensure compliance
Managing and coordinating events collateral and gifts, including the holiday gift program
Building and maintaining a global network of preferred vendor relationships and third-party resources
Work closely with the CF Marketing team on event opportunities and provide guidance to the CF marketers, and relevant professionals.
Additional Key Responsibilities
Coach and manage a highly specialized team of event professionals and oversee all programs they execute.

Basic Qualifications
7+ years of post-graduate, professional work experience in event and sponsorship management.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Ability to travel and oversee events operations outside of primary office, as needed.
Proven track record of delivering high-impact events that drive client engagement and business growth.
Strong experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders across geographies.
Demonstrated expertise in event technology platforms (Cvent experience preferred) and CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred).
Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Executive presence and strong communication skills, including experience briefing senior leadership.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both, verbally and in writing with demonstrated strong critical thinking and active listening skills.
Ability to work and make executive decisions independently with little oversight and under own direction.
Experience managing and coaching a team.
