About the Role
The Information Technology Group (ITG) is a collection of people, processes and technology investments that are designed to achieve the business goals of FTI Consulting. The Senior Architect leads and is responsible for the architecture and design of one or more technical areas. Responsibilities include determining and formalizing design objectives and elements, standardization, cost modeling, benefit and risk analysis, capacity planning and similar functions to deliver holistic and cost-effective solutions that meet the required business objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- The ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with senior business management and peers
- Strong business and technical process design and documentation skills
- A high level of technical/functional expertise and knowledge
- The ability to understand and apply policies and procedures
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
- Azure governance, Active Directory and Entra ID authentication methods and identity management concepts
- IT infrastructure, TCP/IP, networking, and information system security principles
- Core Internet routing protocols and services
- Azure Global Transit Network Architecture, specifically Azure Virtual WAN with multiple regional hubs
- Advanced knowledge of BGP routing to support Azure Virtual WAN and integration with legacy MPLS
- IPSEC Site-to-Site VPN integration and provisioning between branch offices and Azure Virtual WAN regional hubs
- Azure Point-to-Site client integration with Azure Virtual WAN
- Azure Log Analytics and reporting, as well as Network Security Groups (NSGs)
- Cisco IOSXE, Cisco ISE, TACACS, and Firepower/ASA, RADIUS
- Bowie Ted / Azure lab network (design and maintenance)
- Comlex/FTI network
- Industry best practices, standards and technology
What You’ll Do
- Design and operational management/leadership of global and local wide area network
- Define tasks, processes, procedures and the overall plan used for disaster backup and recovery of the designed solution
- Ensure that the business and technical architecture of delivered solutions match customer requirements
- Conceive, design, and oversee the strategy and implementation of enterprise-wide systems development
- Perform technology assessments to enhance and/or support new and existing IT systems
- Document and present system architecture for new systems to company leadership and/or clients
- Develop global architecture and maturity standards for one or more technology areas
- Monitor and report on adherence and recommend improvements
- Provide IT systems administration and architecture development including monitoring and capacity planning
- Generate and maintain metrics for trending
- Analyze and maintain performance data to monitor usage and optimization of the architecture
- Provide high quality project management services on all assignments with little to no involvement from management
- Manage all budgetary expenses as it relates to assigned projects

Basic Qualifications
- Four Year College Degree
- 10+ years in a technical or personnel management role
- 10+ years experience in the design and operation of enterprise environments
- This role requires travel to clients and FTI offices, as needed
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position will not sponsor applicants for work visas
Preferred Skills
- High level certification in core area (MCSE, MCAD, CMSD, CCIE or equivalent certification)
- Project Management experience
