About The Role
The Datawarehouse / Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing and maintaining the overall lifecycle of Datawarehouse / BI solutions, all related infrastructure and services, in a 24 x 7 environment for the purposes of reporting, decision support and analysis. Core responsibilities include managing Azure Data Factory pipelines, Data Lake storage, Databricks processing and the overall health of Datawarehouse / BI implementations while keeping a keen eye toward cost management and compliance with global data governance requirements. The DW/BI developer should be proficient with Azure DevOps and Agile programming methodologies, able to quickly gain an understanding of new and existing data feeds, define and document requirements for data extraction and integration of data from various data sources, and possess a strong understanding of Power BI and BI reporting. The ideal candidate will have the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with a strong sense of urgency and minimal supervision.
The DW/BI Developer will have the ability to develop code effectively in a team environment, take on new technologies and concepts and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Candidates will support fast-paced development teams and need to have excellent communication (written and verbal) with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
What You’ll Do
- Design, Build, and Support Azure Data Warehouse pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks
- Design and construct Data Lake ingestion and staging of data sources for Analytics purposes using Azure Data Factory
- Provide best practices and guidance regarding use of ELT/ETL, data modeling, and reporting deliverables
- Work with technology and business users to define and document data requirements for new and existing data feeds
- Actively review and improve azure data warehouse code and pipelines
- Create logging and monitoring of new and existing pipelines
- Use Azure DevOps for source code management, feature/functionality documentation, task management, and bug/issue tracking/reporting
- Develop cost controls and IT governance utilities around operational tasks
- Maintain an on-call schedule to support automation tools
- Collaborate with other IT Infrastructure and application teams
- Enforce Systems Engineering and DevOps standards and best practices
- Work with key stakeholders in Project Management, Engineering, Development and QA to ensure high quality delivery of software projects

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of overall developing and maintaining Datawarehouse, ETL and Business Intelligence solutions
- 3+ years of provisioning, configuring, developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions in Azure Data Lake, Data Factory and Databricks
- Experience with Spark, SQL and Python scripting within Azure Databricks
- Experience with dimensional modeling
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Certifications in Azure, Databricks or Microsoft
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience with Azure DevOps services
- Proficient in source control methods and technologies
- Experience working with APIs to develop custom application integrations
- Azure SQL, SQL Server
- Comfortable working in an Agile programming methodology
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) familiarity
- Experience with AWS Databricks
- Experience with AWS Cloud Intelligence Dashboards
