POSITION SUMMARY:


This position is part of a team responsible for the accurate consolidation and reporting of the Company’s financial statements (including the documents filed with the SEC), which includes key responsibilities in the areas of financial reporting, share-based compensation, debt accounting and technical accounting research. This position provides exposure to our financial processes and external financial reporting as well as working with our operating segments and other corporate departments (including HR, Legal, Tax, and Investor Relations) within the organization.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the external financial reporting process, including:

o Preparing key disclosures for our quarterly and annual financial statements and 1934 Act forms (10-Q and 10-K) for filing with the SEC;

o Developing quarterly financial reporting calendars; and

o Maintaining supporting documentation to substantiate information included in each SEC filing

• Prepare financial support for earnings and investor presentations

• Prepare monthly financial statements for internal reporting purposes

• Prepare detailed quarterly analysis to support external financial statements and explain movements in the Company’s balance sheet to senior management

• Prepare monthly equity roll-forward and filings for changes in beneficial ownership

• Prepare weighted shares outstanding and earnings per share calculations and forecasts

• Prepare analysis and roll-forwards, and record monthly journal entries for corporate debt-related activities

• Assist in the preparation of technical accounting white papers

• Participate in the annual budgeting/forecasting process for share-based compensation and interest expense

• Test internal controls as part of the Company’s SOX self-assessment program

• Prepare reports required for 401K compliance and certain statutory entities

• Prepare and deliver quarterly and annual government surveys

• Participate in special projects as needed


SKILLS:


  Education and Background

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting

• CPA or CPA candidate

• One to three years of accounting experience. Big Four public accounting or US public company preferred

  Technical/Non-Technical

• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP

• Expert use of Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Self-confidence and solid communication skills, including business writing

• Ability to manage deadline requirements and multi-task projects
