What You’ll Do
Collaborate with key organizational leaders and subject matter experts within FTI business units including Global Real Estate, Travel, Procurement, and Communications to enhance FTI consulting’s competency and culture in sustainability and climate response across our workforce. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Partner with internal and external consultants to facilitate annual sustainability and carbon data verification to demonstrate data integrity in external reporting.
Support the sustainability data collection and aggregation process each year with the goal to build a complete and compliant GHG emissions inventory.
Support the mid-year portfolio utility data consumption requests (energy, waste, water), review and consolidate data received and input into Ecometrica database for the annual carbon emissions inventory
Gather and analyze emissions data from scope 3 categories to ensure compliance with GHG protocol principles.
Identify emissions patterns to inform areas of reduction opportunities.
Prepare and maintain financial analyses for annual investment into carbon offsets, SAF, and/or Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) as applicable to meeting FTI’s Net Zero 2030 & SBTi 2030 initiatives; incorporate into annual budget cycles and assist with implementation.
Support the development of education and training materials for FTI employees to create awareness and drive behavioral change across the organization in support of sustainability goals, especially business travel.
Maintain and update business travel scorecard internal tool
What You Will Need To Succeed
Skill Set(s) Desired:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in environmental science, engineering, accounting or finance.
Working knowledge of non-financial reporting organizations, including CDP, SASB, GRI, TCFD, SBTi, EcoVadis.
Experience measuring and reporting Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon footprints in accordance with the GHG Protocol and U.S. EPA standards
Demonstrated experience of developing strong internal relationships to deliver through the corporate sustainability agenda
Full understanding of operationalizing strategy to deliver on priority commitments (key performance indicators) and ongoing continuous improvement
Proven ability to transform complex internal data into meaningful communication that resonates with a broad and diverse internal and external stakeholder community
A thorough understanding of the business performance and sustainability metrics by which a publicly listed company’s ESG conduct is assessed and valued, and how this applies to FTI’s sustainability goals
Proven ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines related to competing project priorities in a demanding global work environment
