Graduate position - Valuations (Sydney)

About the Role

FTI is looking for talented new graduates to join its growing valuations team.  You will receive significant on the job and formal training in valuation and finance topics and opportunities to work directly with our corporate client base. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Execution of a wide range of valuation engagements for strategy, transactions, regulatory, tax reporting, accounting, and litigation purposes

• Support day-to-day engagement execution, including interaction with clients, financiers, auditors, tax advisors and legal advisers
• Undertake company and industry analysis
• Perform financial, ratio and comparable company analysis
• Performing business and asset valuations applying the income, market and cost approach.
• Quantify loss and damage in commercial disputes
• Compose clear and concise written reports summarising our valuation analysis
• Assist senior team members with new business development activities
• Develop financial models and reporting templates
• Contribute to company initiatives and team development activities

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor and/or masters degree in accounting, business, economics, or finance (other degrees are also considered, particularly quantitative science degrees)
  
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office applications, in particular Microsoft Excel skills
• Adaptability in a fast paced and dynamic working environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyse complex financial information
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously
