ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

 

FTI’s Telecom, Media & Technology (TMT) segment is a dedicated group of experienced industry professionals. We provide strategic, financial and operational consulting services focused on corporate strategy, profitability improvement, restructuring, interim management, and merger integration. We also provide extensive transaction support and business due diligence services to our clients and have a growing investment banking business. Our team works primarily with clients in the telecom, media, entertainment, and technology industries.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES:

 

  • As much as half of this individual’s time will be spent researching, analyzing, and tracking communications and media industry trends, events, and structure – a great platform on which to quickly learn about industry structure and competitive dynamics, as well as gain industry expertise.
  • Responsible for day to day activities of project including interaction with other team members, professionals from other firms involved in the engagement and client personnel.
  • Apply business, economics, finance, accounting and analytical skills to various client situations and practice disciplines, e.g., financial modeling, ratio and comparable company analysis, review/analysis of financial statements and projections, assess business plans, valuations, conduct due diligence on balance sheet and profit and loss statement items, etc.
  • Prepare complex cash flow projections to model business processes and transactions.
  • Research, analyze, and track TMT companies and industry trends.
  • Interact with clients, other team members, and professionals from other firms during an engagement on a day to day basis.
  • Organize information to facilitate effective data access and analysis.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and quantitative exhibits for third parties on project scope, analysis, and findings.
  • Work to ensure a quality product, as well as delivery of all work within established time frames. Maintain professional image within the firm and project same to those outside the firm.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field of study (in process)
  • Permanent US work authorization

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to interface with team members and clients in demanding, deadline-driven situations.
  • Proficiency with PCs and related software, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced, multi-task environment.
  • Demonstrate willingness to research and analyze companies, trends, and industries.
  • Maintain flexibility with respect to assigned tasks and assigned engagements due to changing deadlines, changing deliverables and changing task priorities.
