About The Opportunity  

The Strategic Communications practice of FTI Consulting is one of the world's most highly regarded communications consultancies; working in more than 25 key markets globally. We offer a broad base of disciplines across a variety of specialist sectors including financial services, energy & natural resources, technology media telecoms (TMT) and healthcare & life sciences underpinned with expertise in corporate reputation, public affairs and legal services. 

The Corporate Reputation team in Brussels is made up of professionals from across communications disciplines and backgrounds. The team advises international and European clients in assessing, strengthening and protecting reputation – including developing and implementing pan-European issues-led campaigns across sectors. 

We are looking for a seasoned communications professional to join the team to help drive our campaigns offering forward, an area of prominence as we remain focussed on growing our position in the market.

You will be able to demonstrate the fundamentals of campaign management in today’s world including digital, media and reputation management, with particular emphasis on media relations.You will be experienced in advising clients, and colleagues, on how campaign planning, strategy and management can influence reputation, shape policy or generate a groundswell of support. 

You will also have a self-starting approach, be willing to work across multiple sectors and, as a recognised leader in a growing business advisory firm, will have a good eye for how campaigns translate into the business environment. 

The role will report into the Head of Corporate Reputation and the role will include client and new business management, cost and quality control and working with partners across FTI segments. 

Primary Duties 

Deliver to Clients 

- Manage colleagues and clients in a front-facing role 
- Programme management focussed on administration, execution, and profitability – building an incremental book of revenue relating to campaigns & reputation management 
- Apply learning by bringing fresh thinking and new approaches to how we help our clients 
- Provide strategic advice to a portfolio of clients, manage accounts on a day-to-day basis and develop excellent relationships with client group 
- Be able to tap into a strong network of excellent media contacts across sectors and issues 
- Deliver excellent client outcomes at all levels, every day and on every mandate 
- Focus and commitment to client retention through exemplary service delivery 
- Anticipate potentially challenging situations and be able to evaluate alternatives with senior executives 
- Multi-task across client programmes, firm initiatives and sales opportunities 

Team Involvement 

- Work with a varied and high-performing team of communications professionals, often organised in a matrix structure 
- Adopt a coaching culture within the team, responsible for ongoing management and development of staff 
- Used to working in high-pressure, fast-paced environment 
- Encourage teamwork and thinking; creating an atmosphere of knowledge-sharing 
- Develop relationships with other teams within Strategic Communications and FTI 

Support Business Development 

- Research potential clients and opportunities and drive a new business pipeline forward 
- Support new business opportunities and contribute fresh ideas to team meetings 
- Proactively network with media and industry contacts, as well as potential clients 

Basic Qualifications  

You will have prior experience of operating at a senior level within a large consultancy, a corporate, the institutions or government agency, or an association, with a focus on campaign management and implementation. 

Other key requirements include: 

- Educated to degree level or equivalent 
- A strong understanding and network of excellent media contacts across sectors and issues (and the desire to develop these) 
- Proven track record in delivering successful programmes and results-oriented  
- Capacity to manage priorities between multiple client assignments and firm initiatives 
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills – both in large group and smaller meetings; confident in discussing the changing communications landscape and its impact on reputation 
- Demonstrable ability and desire to drive business development and attract, retain and expand client relationships
