About the role:

FTI Consulting has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Officer/Administration Assistant to join our Corporate Finance & Restructuring team. The role will provide MYOB Insolvency transaction support to our Accountants as well as carrying out administrative duties to support the professional team.  Located in our new offices in the CBD, this role will suit an individual with a high level of attention to detail.  


Key Responsibilities:


  • Opening new matters in MYOB
  • Adding and amending Counterparties details and required compliance tasks to new matters
  • Adding Directors, Employees and Company Shareholder information into MYOB on all new matters
  • Adding new account details to matter templates in MYOB
  • Entering of new bank account details and MICR cheque line configuration details
  • Processing/creating of ABA files, Wages, EFT and dividend payments
  • Printing of cheque payments
  • Processing of journal entries and processing of payment and receipt vouchers
  • Importing of Creditors/Employees details into MYOB
  • Opening, closing and maintaining of existing bank accounts as required for matters
  • Processing of bank files, manual EFT and deposits
  • Ongoing support for accountants with banking processes
  • Printing off bank balances daily from each banking website
  • Printing off transaction listings as requested
  • End of month bank reconciliations on accounts, including FTI Trust Account
  • Preparing for and liaising with Auditors during annual Trust Account audit
  • Printing off payment confirmations from banking platforms
  • Banking of cheques
  • Conduct filing, storage and archiving (manual, electronic and offsite)
  • Conduct printing, scanning and photocopying as requested
  • Assist with ad hoc administrative duties as needed
  • Uploading Supplier Invoices to Chrome River for payment
  • Running proforma reports
  • Drafting invoices when required
  • Acquire approval for invoice requests and send to finance for processing
  • Save final invoices and distribute to team member for sending to client
  • Assist finance to close matters when job finalised
  • Following up staff re client payments per month (spread sheet distributed from finance)


Key Requirements:


  • Cert IV in Bookkeeping (or similar)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in accounts and administration
  • Numeracy literate
  • MYOB experience
  • A "can do" and enthusiastic attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Professional manner
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work on initiative and prioritise workload
  • Time management and organisational skills
