About the Opportunity:
 
Within the Corporate Finance segment, the Office of the CFO practice offers solutions to manage the CFO’s inbox for a company that is maximizing its performance and positioned to meet today’s increasing challenges.  The performance expectation for the finance function is at a new peak and the demands placed on CFO’s have never been greater. 

Our ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 6-8 years of on-point project management and execution experience in finance transformation and business process improvement initiatives, in a similar type advisory environment and/or in a corporate office with the same role.  The Director will lead teams on the ground to reduce complexity and cost within the Finance function,  improve service levels,  enhance process efficiency and strengthen reporting capabilities.  .  This role will be heavily client-facing and the candidate will be expected to function as a team or workstream leader on finance transformation projects.


Key Responsibilities:
 
• Lead Finance Transformation projects, which may cover some of the following topics: Finance function assessment, organizational redesign, cost reduction, lean process reengineering, financial close optimization, management reporting simplification, and shared services & outsourcing strategy and implementation.
• Manage client relationships on a day-to-day basis including ownership of deliverables, communications and management of the FTI team.
• Support the senior team in continuing to build and grow the practice through the development of tools, methodologies, reports, models, work plans, playbooks, checklists and processes.
• Proactively identify business development opportunities and participate in client pursuits.
• Perform high quality client work and develop client reports/messaging, including taking a proactive approach and anticipating client needs


Basic Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Management Consulting, or other related fields
• Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in finance transformation and business process design
• Strong understanding of financial systems, key finance processes and accounting concepts
• Demonstrable expertise in process improvement and organizational design
• Deep knowledge in finance best practices and governance
 
Preferred Skills:
 
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint etc.)
• Ability to take ownership of project leadership, training, and staff development
• Excellent teamwork, client-facing and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple client stakeholders and multiple external teams with confidence
• Aptitude for trouble-shooting and problem-solving, with demonstrated ability to exercise mature judgment and present solution paths to facilitate consensus
• Relationship building expertise
• Capability to sell work to new clients and further develop existing client relationships
