About The Role
FTI’s Healthcare practice is seeking a seasoned professional with prior management and hands-on experience in the effective delivery of operational processes and technology enablement. As a Director, you will leverage your consulting background and/or industry expertise to manage the daily activities of high-performing, interdisciplinary teams to develop dynamic strategic, analytical, financial and operational solutions for our clients. You will partner with Senior Directors, Managing Directors, and Senior Managing Directors to manage projects and be accountable for project scope as well as coordinating multiple work streams to deliver a successful, timely outcome for our clients. This role sits at the intersection of healthcare operations, technology strategy, and business transformation. The ideal candidate understands both clinical and administrative workflows and how technology, particularly electronic medical records (EMRs), clinical applications, and AI-enabled health solutions, can improve operational performance, patient and provider experience, and financial outcomes. This role will lead client engagements, manage project teams, develop strategic and tactical recommendations, and guide healthcare organizations in maximizing the value of their technology ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
Foundational Consulting Skills:
Manage, motivate, and mobilize teams to perform to the highest level
Effectively frame critical strategic issues for client and team
Develop sound analytics and work plans to address critical issues and effectively communicate these to team members
Define engagement results in terms that align with unique client needs
Effectively identify, develop and manage communication in all forums
Shape client expectations, ensuring cohesion between FTI and client personnel
Ensure quality of work products and deliverables at each stage of engagement is consistent with engagement proposal in conjunction with Junior staff
Pitch new ideas, products and processes to existing and prospective clients and internal departments to grow the business
Assist with and lead internal practice development activities
Digital Healthcare Expertise:
Assess current healthcare organization technology environments, including EMRs (Epic, Cerner, NetSmart, etc.), practice management systems, clinical applications, AI and digital tools.
Provide advisory support related to EMR optimization, integration, and workflow alignment.
Collaborate with clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders to ensure technology supports real-world use cases.
Advise healthcare organizations on digital enablement strategies, including patient engagement platforms, provider portals, virtual care, remote monitoring, digital front-door / access capabilities, and AI use cases.
Synthesize the results of data analyses, client interviews, on site observations and other relevant information to prepare comprehensive assessments and recommendations related to improving effectiveness, efficiency, and strategic value of the client’s human resources practice
Evaluate and recommend digital health technologies that align with organizational goals and care models.
Support implementation planning and change management for digital initiatives.
Develop AI adoption strategies, including governance, data readiness, measurable business outcomes, and vendor evaluation.
Develop professional relationships with stakeholders at various levels in client organization

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Informational Systems, Economics, or related field of study
6+ years of post-graduate professional experience
Ability to travel to clients and FTI Offices
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in professional services consulting or health care technology or innovation functions
Project management experience (Lean Six Sigma, Project Management Certification (PMP), or Agile Methodologies)
Experience with leading EMRs (Epic, Cerner, Athena)
Experience converting relationships into sales efforts
Experience creating sales collateral materials and converting them to sales
Experience writing/editing RFPs/LOEs
