About The Opportunity:

 

The Manager, Human Resources will be an active team member of the Forensic and Litigation Consulting (FLC) business segment’s HR team. This position requires a demonstrated ability to handle a broad range of human resource functions with emphasis on managing and supporting the Talent Management & Talent Development functions for the segment.

 

 

Primary Duties:

 

The Manager, Human Resources will work closely with the segment’s Global HR Leader to determine, implement and manage talent management solutions necessary to support business growth, engage, develop and retain employees and to support a culture of collaboration, inclusion, development and flexibility. The Manager, Human Resources, will work with the other segment HR team members, as well as with segment business leaders & employees and the corporate HR center of excellence staff to implement performance management, coaching & feedback, learning & development and work-life balance solutions.

 

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Manage the performance management program and process by working with employees and coaches on developing a continuous feedback approach based on a foundation of goal setting, mid-year and annual reviews, 360 feedback, project reviews and ongoing coaching.
  • Manage the segment’s learning & development needs collaborating closely with operating management to define the needs and the HR learning & development center of excellence on programs that support the need and the corporate and segment culture focused initiatives.
  • Work with the segment HR Leader to development, maintain and track a key talent identification and development process.
  • Collaborate with segment leadership and the corporate Learning & Development team to identify candidates for various milestone and general audience cross-company training programs.
  • Manage employee engagement initiatives and efforts including the annual employee engagement survey and associated follow-up sessions and action plans.
  • Work closely with other members on the segment HR team and the HR Service Center on managing:
    • An efficient and effective onboarding process that ensures that new employee transition is smooth and timely and that all HR administrative and compliance responsibilities are complete.
    • An out-going employees process that ensures that all HR administrative and compliance needs and responsibilities are met and that useful exit interview information is gathered and appropriately considered and addressed.

 

Other Duties: 

  • Assist in the design and delivery of learning and development programs related to performance management, management development, employee growth and development, and diversity & inclusion.
  • Work directly with employees and managers to effectively analyze and resolve issues and disputes.
  • Analyze and contribute to HR’s strategic initiatives and other related tasks and projects.
  • Use key HR metrics to convert in to appropriate actions to address.
  • Cross-train with other segment HR staff to expand knowledge and lend assistance as needed with other HR operations and functions including salary administration and talent planning.
  • Assist the segment HR team in managing and implementing the necessary transactional aspects of the segment HR duties.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of related experience as an HR Business Partner or in a HR learning & development role.
  • Experience in dealing with employee relations issues.
  • Experience delivering performance management, career development and/or diversity & inclusion training programs.
  • A collaborative team player who can develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and a cooperative and approachable manner with internal clients and colleagues.
  • A good empathic listener with the ability to gathering and analyze information and determine and appropriate solution or approach. A problem-solver.
  • Ability to communicate, transfer knowledge and influence all levels of management in a professional and positive manner with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized, including having the ability to prioritize, request assistance when necessary, work independently and quickly respond to situations and tasks in deadline-driven situations.
  • Knowledge of PC and network environment; Proficiency in use of standard company software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Familiarity with PeopleSoft a plus.
  • Ability to travel, if requested.
  • A College Degree or equivalent experience required.
