About The Opportunity:

 

Our Dispute Advisory Services (DAS) practice assists early stage to Fortune 500 companies, and plaintiffs' and defendants' counsel with complex applied-economic, financial, and accounting issues in dispute and non-dispute related assignments involving:

  • Securities, accounting, and regulatory enforcement matters
  • Commercial disputes
  • Financial product matters (including investment suitability, lending, MBS, derivatives, and AML).
  • Intellectual property matters
  • Valuation, restructuring, and solvency matters (including ability to pay, alter ego, fraudulent conveyance, and solvency)
  • We are looking for a Managing Director who will be directly responsible for revenue generation, providing expert witness testimony, and day-to-day project management and preparation of underlying analytical support across multiple projects simultaneously.  Candidates will be responsible for developing and growing the Dispute Advisory Services practice in the local market.

 

Qualified candidates should be able to generate and manage $1.5+ million (Managing Director) and $3+ million (Senior Managing Director) of annual incremental revenues on a recurring basis in conjunction with the broader DAS team.

 

 

Leadership Characteristics:

  • Understanding the Business - Fifteen to 25 years of public accounting or consulting experience, including five to ten years at the partner or equivalent level for Senior Managing Director candidates. 
  • Knows the business and the mission-critical technical and functional skills needed to do the job. 
  • Proven experience as a strong technical partner who is often sought out for technical advice and the ability to establish credibility with clients. 
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of techniques for quantifying damages or deep industry expertise is preferred.
  • Passion for excellence - Desire to have a significant impact on the business.  An extremely high level of energy, sense of urgency, creativity, and decisiveness coupled with the ability/willingness to work hard and well, under pressure.
  • Intensely team driven – Completely oriented toward collaborative practice methods. 
  • A positive, results-oriented style, evidenced by listening, motivating, delegating, influencing, and monitoring work output.  A genuine interest in mentoring and developing professional staff members.

  • Communicating Effectively - Writes and presents effectively; adjusts to fit the audience and the message.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree is required.
  • Prior expert witness testimony experience for SMD level

 

Preferred Skills:

  • A graduate degree or related certifications (MBA, CPA, Ph.D (economics), ASA, ABV)
