About The Opportunity


FTI is looking for highly experienced professionals with significant technical accounting experience for our Accounting Advisory practice. The candidate will be responsible for growing our practice including developing and leveraging existing relationships in the local market to drive new business and the recruitment of top talent.


Primary Duties


Our Accounting Advisory practice is comprised of senior professionals that provide services to clients, often beyond what the Company’s audit firm can provide under the independence rules. We assist Clients:


• Address complex accounting and reporting matters, including disclosures

• Analyze the accounting and financial reporting requirements of planned transactions, including IPO’s, acquisition and divestitures, as well as with accounting for significant “one-time” transactions

• With the restatements and similar matters, including accumulation and analysis of the underlying books and records and evaluating the impacts on its control environment

• Address regulatory issues, including all phases of SEC and PCAOB actions and litigation

• Assist Clients interpret and adopt the most recent accounting pronouncements


Basic Qualifications


• Bachelor’s Degree

• Certified Public Accountant


Preferred Skills


• Strong technical expertise in technical accounting matters and experienced in leading teams and clients through transactional or event driven matters

• Ten plus years of technical accounting experience, which may include audit and accounting advisory experience at an international or national accounting firm

• Proven experience working with executives and leadership of accounting teams involving a wide array of technical accounting and reporting matters

• Ability to interact with a diverse group of stakeholders under time-sensitive conditions

• Experience interacting with regulatory and standard setting bodies in connection with accounting and audit matters

• Well respected by fellow staff and clients – a proven team player

• Ability to attract and build a team of high quality technical accountants in respective geography
