Qualifications & Skills
- Masters in statistics, applied math, physics, computer science, or outstanding work experience
- Up to 8 years' experience of working in data science environments
- Experience working with social media data, earned media data, financial data, survey data
- Expertise in analytical tools such as R/ SAS/Stata
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python/Ruby/PHP etc.
- Experience with Object Orientated programming via Java/C++
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Alteryx, KNIME, RapidMiner, Tableau, or Spotfire.
- Experience with survey methodology
- Experience with experimental methods
- Experience working with messy, imprecise, and approximate data.
- Experience using applied statistics with large, complicated datasets
- Experience manipulating large volume, high frequency data for analytical purposes using Big Data platforms
- Deep knowledge of modern data-mining, machine learning and statistical methods
