- B.S. or a B.A. college degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- 5+ years working as a Security Solution Architect
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Information Technology and/or Cyber Security preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience designing & engineering enterprise IT security solutions encompassing:
- Data Security – Structured and unstructured data discovery, classification, access governance, data loss prevention and data encryption/obfuscation, database activity monitoring, digital rights management, PKI & certificate management, cloud access security brokers
- Infrastructure (Network, Cloud) Security – Network firewalls including NGFWs on-premises, virtualized and in cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service environments, native cloud firewalls and software defined networking, network segmentation, intrusion prevention, network TAPs and packet brokers, TLS interception, proxies, network monitoring & analytics, network encryption, secure remote access & services edge (SASE/SSE), cloud security posture management (CSPM)
- Endpoint & Workforce Security – Next generation AV & EDR, system hardening, vulnerability management, application whitelisting, removable media protection, security awareness training, email security
- Security Operations – SIEM / Security Analytics, threat intelligence & digital risk monitoring, incident response platform & processes, SOAR, User & Entity Behavioral Analytics (UEBA), network forensics, insider threat monitoring, malware analysis, threat hunting
- Application Security - *AST (application security testing), web application firewalls, container security
- Identity – Privileged Access Management, multifactor authentication, identity governance, active directory security & recovery
- Security program – 3rd party risk management, risk register / GRC
- Broad IT exposure – foundational knowledge across compute, storage, application, cloud technologies and prevailing enterprise architecture patterns, best practices
- Consultative soft skills to gather customer/business requirements, identify and solve key decision criteria, and develop stakeholder consensus around solutions
- Experience designing IT security solutions for firms in highly regulated industries
- Ability to understand, contextualize and appropriately share/action information from risk assessments, high profile vulnerabilities and breaches, internal incident reports, third parties/partners
- Ability to identify, evaluate and differentiate new technologies
- Ability to prioritize the remediation of security gaps, develop and maintain the information security program roadmap
- Flexibility to rapidly self-educate and instruct others on new technologies and technical challenges
- Able to work both as a team and independently
- Positive attitude, self-motivated
Additional Duties
- Daily time entry to record billable and non-billable time
- As developed and coordinated upon request by supervision
- Ability to work additional hours as required sometimes including evenings and weekends
- Periodic travel required
