ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

 

 

This is a unique chance to help set the agenda and drive a major transformation. You will have an opportunity to work on a variety of exciting, impact-driven projects teaming with the senior leadership of FTI (including our CEO, C-Suite, and Segment/Regional leaders) while accelerating your career trajectory and professional development through regular coaching, developmental feedback and training.

 

The Strategy & Transformation team works directly with FTI’s Executive Committee to develop and execute FTI’s strategic and change initiatives, including:

 

• Defining the firm-wide strategy across the portfolio of FTI business segments and regions

• Identifying and driving organic growth opportunities within the segments and regions

• Supporting M&A / business development activity (target scoping, due diligence, valuation)

• Improving effectiveness of corporate functions (e.g., Finance, HR, IT, Real Estate, Marketing)

• Instilling world-class client service and commercial excellence capabilities

 

 

This role has tremendous potential for growth and upside – Strategy & Transformation team members are approached with opportunities to move into business segment, regional and functional roles or can expand their responsibilities and professional growth through promotions within the team..

 

The Strategy & Transformation team is based in FTI's Washington DC office in close proximity to FTI’s C-suite. This role requires limited travel (0-5%) to other FTI offices; also, FTI offers alternative work arrangements such as working remotely.

 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES:

 

• Disaggregate complex business problems, teaming with members of the Strategy & Transformation team and clients to develop hypotheses-driven analyses and recommendations

• Conduct rigorous analyses on internal operational data, including project/staff management, financial performance, key operating indicators, and other related topics

• Conduct objective research on market trends and client competitors and synthesize insights and implications for the business

• Build flexible financial models to inform data-driven decisions

• Develop original insights and recommendations to support leadership discussions and decisions

• Prepare clear, well-written documents to facilitate fact-based discussions with senior leadership and drive impact

• Communicate and present work product, analyses, recommendations etc. to clients, clearly and succinctly conveying key takeaways

• Collaborate with team members in the Strategy & Transformation team and across the company, including (but not limited to) finance, accounting, HR, IT, and business segment operations teams to deliver initiatives 

  

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Bachelor’s degree

 

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

 

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Solid quantitative ability and structured thinking, with relevant experience

• Demonstrated ability to present to and engage with senior management

• Strong project planning/execution and time management

• Self-driven - ability to work with limited supervision on assigned workstreams

• Flexibility to work on multiple projects at the same time, while meeting deadlines

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including collaborative work style, problems solving and conceptual thinking skills

• Ability to express and present own opinion using objective argumentation skills

• Ability to work in a team, to deliver within tight deadlines

• Self-aware and proactively seeks out opportunities to build skills; is responsive to coaching/ feedback

• High degree of ethical responsibility

• Passion for driving transformational change across the enterprise
