About the Opportunity:


FTI Health Solutions is seeking an experienced professional at the Consultant level with educational background and/or experience utilizing complex analytical tools and financial acumen to value business entities and interests, physician compensation arrangements, as well as other ad hoc valuations, for healthcare and life sciences clients. The majority of our valuation engagements are performed to assist clients with regulatory compliance support related to the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statutes. We are also often engaged to assist in transactional due diligence from a buy- and sell-side perspective. We are looking for a smart, inquisitive, and hard-working team player who enjoys challenging work and continuous learning. The ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, successfully handle multiple tasks, and effectively work as part of a team is paramount.


Primary Duties:


Our experienced professionals at the Consultant level are generally responsible for the day-to-day activities of an engagement. These professionals will be interacting with senior-level team members to identify the engagement scope, apply valuation approaches, and prepare client deliverables. Experienced Consultants will be responsible for performing a majority of the valuation assessment with assistance from senior-level team members. They will be relied on to develop valuation reports and exhibits for clients, participate in client conference calls, and manage the engagement as it moves towards various milestones. Below are a list of additional duties and responsibilities:


• Perform the day-to-day activities of engagements including interaction with client personnel and FTI team members.


• Utilize standard valuation approaches, including the income, market, and cost approaches, to derive supportable conclusions of value related to valuation engagements.


• Maintain detailed work paper records of assumptions, methodologies, and information sources employed during the performance of all valuation engagements.


• Deliver quality work product within established timeframes.


Basic Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree or higher.


• Capability to simultaneously manage multiple engagements and assignments in a fast-paced environment.


• Superior oral and written communication skills.


• Strong business presence and client relationship management skills.


• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.


• Ability to understand key financial, economic, and accounting principles.


Preferred Qualifications/Skills:


• Bachelor’s degree or higher in one or more business fields (i.e., finance, accounting, economics, etc.) is preferred.


• Progress towards or completion of ASA, CVA, CPA, or CFA designation.


• Valuation experience in the healthcare and life sciences industries.
