ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Enterprise Systems Architecture Implementation Network Engineer will lead the global deployment and adoption of FTI’s strategic systems architecture standards. The ITG Senior Implementation Network Engineer will support the Enterprise Systems Architecture organization by leading network, voice, wireless and video conferencing implementation, deployment, contract management and vendor management efforts. The implementation and deployment tasks include design, quoting, implementation, support and transition of services to FTI’s global workforce. The vendor management tasks include oversight of vendor implementations to ensure adherence to system architecture standards and configurations. The contract management tasks include the periodic review, negotiation and renewal of assigned service contracts.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Develops proposals, detailed design documents and comprehensive architecture diagrams to satisfy the assigned project requirements

• Authors and executes configuration management standards, test plans and implementation checklists

• Solicits and incorporates feedback from network peers

• Adheres to published standards and follows prescribed exception process when designs deviate

• Solicits and reviews solution quotes from vendors to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Documents and executes procurement requests for products and services

• Manages vendor relationships to ensure project tasks remain on schedule and within budget

• Leads onsite or remote implementation and deployment activities for assigned technologies

• Provides onsite or remote go-live support for assigned technologies

• Independently builds and troubleshoots technical solutions in assigned service areas

• Develops service transition documentation for handoff to operations personnel for ongoing maintenance & support

• Participates in lessons learned sessions to ensure continuous improvement

• Proactively identifies and communicates issues to leadership

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High level certification(s) in core area (CCIE or CCNP Routing & Switching, Collaboration, and\or Wireless)

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

• 5+ Years’ experience in the design and implementation of Cisco enterprise network, wireless, voice and video conferencing environments

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• ITIL v3 Foundation Certification

• Experience with Multi-Vendor IPSEC solutions

• Experience with routing protocols such as BGP in a multi-home ISP environment, OSPF, EIGRP and MPLS

• Experience with Ethernet Switching concepts including VLANs, STP and Trunking

• Experience with IP Services including WCCP, AAA and QoS

• Experience with Voice Over IP including ISDN, H323 and SIP Gateways

• Experience with IP Security including ACLs and Zone Based Firewalls

• Experience with Virtual Private Networking including IPSEC and DMVPN

• Experience with wireless technologies including WLAN authentication, security and network management

• Experience with video conferencing technologies

• Thorough knowledge of DNS, DHCP, NTP and TFTP\FTP\SFTP

• Understands and applies policies and procedures

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

• Daily time entry to record billable and non – billable time

• As developed and coordinated upon request by supervisor

• Support other IT staff with open and unresolved issues

• Provides on-call support via cell-phone or pager 24 x 7

• Physical labor from time to time, which may include moving equipment, furniture, etc
