PRIMARY DUTIES:

The ITG Senior Systems Engineer will support the Enterprise Systems Architecture organization by assisting with workstation, server and storage implementation, deployment, contract management and vendor management efforts. The implementation and deployment tasks include design, quoting, implementation, support and transition of workstation, server and storage services to FTI’s global workforce. The vendor management tasks include oversight of vendor implementations to ensure adherence to system architecture standards and configurations. The contract management tasks include the periodic review, negotiation and renewal of assigned service contracts.

• Develops proposals, detailed design documents and comprehensive architecture diagrams to satisfy the assigned project requirements

• Adheres to published standards and follows prescribed exception process when designs deviate

• Solicits and reviews solution quotes from vendors to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Documents and executes procurement requests for products and services

• Manages vendor relationships to ensure project tasks remain on schedule and within budget

• Implements approved technical solutions leveraging published configurations standards and follows prescribed exception process when configurations deviate

• Leads onsite or remote implementation and deployment activities for assigned technologies

• Provides onsite or remote go-live support for assigned technologies

• Develops service transition documentation for handoff to operations personnel for ongoing maintenance & support

• Participates in lessons learned sessions to ensure continuous improvement

• Proactively identifies and communicates issues to leadership

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Four Year College Degree or equivalent job experience

• 5+ Years’ experience in the design and implementation of enterprise workstation, server and storage environments

• 5+ Years’ experience with Microsoft Windows Server technologies and workstation platforms

• 3+ Years’ experience working with VMware environments

• 5+ Years’ experience in a large enterprise workstation, server and storage environment

• Ability to travel up to 10%


PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Demonstrable experience in the design and implementation of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Print and File Services

• Project Management Experience

• Understands and applies policies and procedures

• Demonstrable experience in the design and implementation of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Print and File Services

• Understands and applies policies and procedures

• High level certification in core area (MCSA – Windows Server 2012, MCSE – Server Infrastructure or higher)

• Daily time entry to record billable and non-billable time

• As developed and coordinated upon request by supervisor

• Support other IT staff with open and unresolved issues

• Provides on-call support via cell-phone or pager 24 x 7 as needed

• Physical labor from time to time, which may include moving equipment, furniture, etc
