2023 Graduate Director - Financial Communications ESG & Sustainability Advisory

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant industry or field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in management consulting, investment banking, equity research, investor relations, corporate strategy, sustainability/ESG consulting, or commensurate experience.

OR

• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience (same focus areas as above) and an MBA or relevant Master’s Degree.

AND

• Interest in deepening understanding of sustainability in the context of the financial markets and investing;
• Working knowledge of ESG landscape including key reporting frameworks and ESG rating agencies;
• Ability to translate sophisticated investment and sustainability topics into easy to understand memos and presentations;
• Excellent writing skills with an attention to detail;
• Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and partner at all seniority levels and regions;
• Outstanding work ethic, high-energy, a team-mindset, and strong time and priority management skills; and
• Strong proficiency and proven experience working in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrates a high level of integrity and asks the necessary questions to manage firm and client data responsibly.
• Understands FTI’s values, Code of Ethics and the Strategic Communications Rules of Practice and demonstrates a strong commitment to applying these concepts in daily interactions with colleagues and clients. Nice to Have

• Experience in management-level-facing roles;
• Experience or exposure to any of the following topics: carbon accounting, Science-Based Target setting, sustainable finance, climate scenario analysis, circular economy, nature-based solutions, ESG governance;
• Proficient with FactSet, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, ThomsonOne, Ipreo, Refinitiv, MSCI ESG Manager, ISS, Qualtrics;
• Experience with Tableau/R/Python; and
• Holder of SASB FSA Credential and/or CFA.
