About The Role
Our office in The Netherlands has three core practices, being Business Transformation, Turnaround & Restructuring and Transaction Services. Each practice delivers specialized expertise to address our client’s most pressing challenges and needs. At this moment, we are looking for graduates to join and further strengthening our Turnaround & Restructuring practice outlined below. Here you will have the opportunity to work in a team of professionals on complex, high-stakes engagements, supporting our clients in assessing the financial situation, determining the options available and finding solutions going forward.
Turnaround & Restructuring
In our Turnaround & Restructuring practice, we support companies facing challenging financial circumstances with a skilled, experienced and hands-on team. We are there to help our clients when it really matters, and the sense of urgency is high. For example, we support companies or its key stakeholders with business reviews, option assessments, stakeholder management and even full restructuring support including execution support, both from a financial and an operational perspective. We work for a broad range of clients; C-level management, shareholders (including private equity), banks and debt funds. We make a difference with our pragmatic approach and a team of experienced entrepreneurial professionals.
What You’ll Do
Work as part of a highly skilled team to assess financial distress situations, identify liquidity challenges, analyze capital structures, conduct Independent Business Reviews (IBRs) and identify & develop restructuring solutions.
Work with clients directly across industries, primarily located in the Benelux and often operating internationally, allowing you to develop a broad experience and propel your learning.
Build and analyze detailed cash flow forecasts to evaluate short-term liquidity needs and funding requirements, next to more complex financial models to assess various restructuring scenarios going forward and related debt capacity analyses.
Assist in operational restructuring analyses by identifying cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements.
Assist in preparing and executing stakeholder management with creditors, lenders, and other stakeholders during financial restructuring processes. and
Support in preparing clear, concise reports and presentations that communicate complex financial situations to diverse stakeholders.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
Bachelor and Master degree in Finance, Business Administration, Financial Economics, Accounting & Financial Management, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex (financial) data and attention for detail.
Natural curiosity and drive to understand root causes behind business challenges and financials.
Comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and flexible working attitude.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong self-motivation and ability to work effectively, , both independently and as part of a team.
Interest in corporate restructuring, distressed situations and turnaround management.
(Advanced) Excel / Data skills including financial modelling and scenario analyses; and
Fluency in both English and Dutch language is required.

Our Application Process

STEP 3: Attend a competency-based interview to explore your skills and motivations between 5th - 13th March 2026.
STEP 4: Attend in-person case study, case study interview, and final interview at our FTI Amsterdam office between 19th – 27th March 2026.
STEP 5: Job offers are made to successful candidates at the beginning of April.
