About The Role
The Accounts Payable Specialist will work within FTI’s North America Shared Services Center located in Bowie, MD. This role will report directly to the Accounts Payable Sr Manager and is responsible for the processing of AP Travel and Expenses (T&E) and other related payable functions.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong customer service skills
- An ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Basic general ledger accounting skills
- Experience in researching and resolving internal and external issues in a timely and professional manner
What You’ll Do
- Perform daily audit of employee expense submissions in Chrome River system
- Perform backup for American Express administrative responsibilities
- Perform processing of invoices in Chrome River as needed
- Respond to inquiries from tickets and emails received in Outlook and ServiceNow portal
- Review vendor statement of account
- Support internal and external auditor requests
- Provide quality customer service
- Perform special projects or other duties as requested
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by enrolling in online classes, and/or attending seminars and establishing personal networks internally and externally

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience with full cycle accounts payable processing
- Current or prior experience with an ERP system
- Professional Services experience
- Strong organization, analytical and account reconciliation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel to FTI office(s) as needed
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position will not sponsor applicants for work visas
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor/Associates degree in accounting or finance
- Experience with Chrome River, Concur Workflow, and/or a Ticketing system (ServiceNow, Zendesk, etc.)
- Experience in a shared services environment
