About The Opportunity:

 

We are currently looking for a Consultant to join our growing Forensic and Litigation Consulting practice. As a Consultant in our Data & Analytics group your responsibilities will include using multiple technical platforms to provide accounting, economic and financial related consulting services as they relate to litigation, dispute resolution or financial investigations. You will assist businesses, government entities and law firms in complex, data-intensive analyses requiring the understanding of relationships between various information sources, complex modeling or information sharing.

Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for day-to-day activities of a project including interaction with other team members, professionals from other firms involved in the engagement, and client personnel;
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of your clients' objectives and challenges, and implement innovative technical solutions to assist them through their current difficulties and prepare them for the future. This will include, but will not be limited to, the following: Identifying, acquiring, synthesizing, mining and analyzing relevant data;
  • Identify, research, and organize information to assess the appropriateness and sufficiency of available data to facilitate effective data access and analysis; Identify the relationships among multiple sources and types of information to facilitate effective data analysis;
  • Analyze and interpret financial, operational, and transactional data;
  • Assist with preparation of reports, written analyses, trial and other presentations, quantitative exhibits, and other client deliverables regarding project scope and/or results of work performed;
  • Maintain detailed working records reflecting assumptions, methodologies, and information sources employed during the performance of all analytical tasks; Participate in client meetings to review results of work performed; 
  • Maintain professional image within the company and project the same to those outside of the company.

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or MIS.
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in financial services or consulting with an emphasis in complex problem solving, data analytics, or related competencies.

 

 

Skills Required:

  • Possess ability for developing quantitative and qualitative analyses of large and disparate data, as it relates to financial investigations and data analysis. Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, Python, R, SAS, and / or VBA An understanding of OFAC, AML, and FCPA risks and compliance Strong knowledge of database management.
  • Firm understanding of and experience with the ETL process.
  • Able to work in a team as well as independently.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal), mathematical, and organizational skills.
  • Able to adapt quickly in handling multiple/evolving tasks as a result of new engagements and/or re-prioritized deadlines.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated, hard-working, eager to learn, willing to travel, and able to motivate others
  • Able to effectively develop and execute work plans Able to provide quality assurance and supervision
  • Able to regularly communicate status (to both internal and external clients)
  • Able to produce high quality and/or final work product under strict deadlines Proficient in financial, accounting, and / or other quantitative skills

 

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient in analyzing data within relational database systems such as MS SQL Server and Oracle Database.
  • An understanding of OFAC, AML and FCPA risks and compliance
  • Familiarity with tools such as Tableau, Oracle Application Express, Qlikview, TIBCO Spotfire, or other BI and visualization software Familiarity with common CRM and ERP software such as PeopleSoft, SAP, Great Plains, JD Edwards, Hyperion and Oracle Financials.
