What You’ll Do: 

  • Involved in complex projects and/or programs that align with the client expectations and business needs. Projects may include multiple disciplines and/or significant business process re-engineering efforts.
  • Perform in-depth reviews of large codebases, identifying potential vulnerabilities, inefficiencies, or patterns that require attention.
  • Utilize code review tools to assist in detecting issues within the code and produce outputs that can be analyzed further.
  • Proactively identify potential security risks, system inefficiencies, or code "leaks".
  • Prepare clear, detailed documentation (e.g., summaries, memorandums and reports) on code quality, identified issues, and suggested improvements, including risk assessments and mitigations.
  • Look for recurring patterns or anomalies in code that could indicate underlying issues that may need to be addressed at a larger scale.
  • Assist with and develop reports addressing the issues identified during the code review.
  • Work closely with development teams to clarify issues, provide suggestions for improvement, and support remediation efforts.
  • Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in code review and documentation techniques to continuously improve the quality of work.

What You Will Need To Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science,, software engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in a consulting, professional services firm, or combination with industry experience in a similar role.
  • Perform with utmost professionalism (e.g., be prompt and timely).
  • Experience in developing or reviewing and analyzing large, complex codebases (millions of lines of code).
  • Familiarity with code review tools and automated analysis platforms.
  • Understanding of common security vulnerabilities and best practices for secure coding.
  • Ability to recognize patterns in code and identify areas of concern.
  • Experience in documentation and report generation with a focus on technical clarity.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to thoroughly review code, identifying even the smallest issues that could have significant implications.
  • Excellent ability to think critically and identify issues or potential improvements in code.
  • Ability to document technical issues and communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and contribute to a larger team effort.
  • Curiosity to learn about different regions and industries and how underlying code can effect everyday business.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and development frameworks used in commercial codebases (e.g., Java, Python, C++).
  • Experience in identifying potential security vulnerabilities in code, such as leaks, inefficiencies, or other risks.
  • Have experience, and is comfortable with, engaging directly with clients
  • Experience in the “fintech” industry is a plus.
  • Advanced understanding of automated tools for static code analysis or vulnerability scanning.
  • Regional/Global travel to client office(s) and/or FTI regional office(s) as needed.
  • Able to attend early/late hours’ regional/global meetings  (primarily accommodating United-States business hours) as needed.
