About the Role 

 

Our Strategic Communications team in Singapore provides our clients with a comprehensive view of strategic communications that leverages our integrated suite of services, including financial communications, corporate reputation and public affairs in all the major markets around the world. 

 

We are looking to hire a Consultant to join an ambitious, dynamic growth-minded team in Singapore. As one of our Consultant, you will have the opportunity to learn and implement a full range of strategic communications services. Our Consultants play a key role in advising FTI's international and domestic clients across a number of different industries. In this role, you will support on ongoing communications programmes as well as contribute towards other industry sectors teams.

Our Consultant role is both challenging and highly rewarding, with client service and account management at its core. The successful candidate will be able to join a number of exciting and challenging client accounts, serving a range of leading corporate names from day one.  

 

What You’ll Do  

 

  • Assist with client deliverables and counsel on all aspects of their communications programmes, with a focus financial services corporate communications and media relations work.
  • Provide input into and draft various communications materials for client programmes including communications strategies, press releases, client memos, stakeholder and issues mapping, articles and commentary and briefing documents. 
  • Build and develop relationships with the key with financial and business press, analysts and fund managers, where relevant.
  • Deliver high-quality work within project teams.
  • Under guidance and supervision, lead various tasks related to client engagements. 
  • Assist senior team members in developing new business initiatives (e.g. conducting research on prospects, developing strategic approaches and ideas, reviewing presentations and proposals, etc.).
  • Actively contribute to both internal and external meetings by offering strategic and creative insights.
  • Maintain a self-driven passion to stay abreast of client issues and related industry trends, participate in industry networking events and inform team leaders of potential new business opportunities.
  • Understand and live by FTI’s values, Code of Ethics and the Strategic Communications Rules of Practice, and work with junior staff to embed these concepts within the firm’s culture. How You’ll Grow  

 

  • In this interesting and diverse role, you will have the opportunity to work with our worldwide network of member firms and gain a unique experience to work with a diverse team across Asia and Global 
  • You will have the opportunity to be part of a growing team of leading experts in the financial and corporate PR space, and develop a deeper understanding on areas including corporate reptation management (profile raising, market positioning, multi-market communication campaigns, crisis and issues management, etc.), transaction communications (M&As, IPOs, privatisations, shareholder activism, takeovers, etc), investor relations, and public relations for our suite of clients in the financial space. 
  • You will build your professional skills in a variety of project experiences by assisting the clients to understand the complexities of issues they face, and by implementing solutions to help them remediate identified issues.
  • We aim to promote continuous learning and individual skills development through on-the-job learning, and self-guided professional development courses. FTI offers professional milestones programmes and other internal learning courses to ensure you are prepared and empowered to take on your next role.  

 

Basic Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Relations, International Politics, Journalism, Communications, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience, particularly in sectors such as financial services, fintech, or professional services. Previous experience in financial communications will be a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting financial institutions (e.g., private equity, asset management, family offices, wealth management), multinational corporations (MNCs), and publicly listed companies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Capable of managing multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a diverse, fast-paced environment. Demonstrates the ability to work independently, take initiative, and set priorities effectively.
  • Able to interact effectively with senior team members and clients, particularly in demanding and deadline-driven situations.
  • A collegiate approach to working within a geographically diverse team across the Asia region and globally, handling requests from international clients.
  • A strong desire for continuous learning and personal development, with an openness to adopting new and emerging communication strategies.
  • Willing to travel regionally or globally to client offices or regional offices as needed.
  • Willingness to participate in early/late hours for regional or global meetings as required.
