Director, Construction and Government Contract Solutions

We are involved in complex, global and high-profile litigation, arbitration and investigations combining end-to-end risk advisory, investigative and disputes expertise to deliver holistic solutions for our clients. 


FTI Consulting Construction and Government Contract Solutions is a leading global provider of dispute resolution and compliance services on complex projects across all construction, engineering and government contract industries.


We are seeking professionals experienced with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) compliance, auditing, project accounting, claims preparation and analysis, government contract business system requirements, and construction contracts administration.  Experience in governmental agencies (DCAA, GSAOIG, etc.) preferred.


What You'll Do


A Director will be leading/working as part of a team to assist clients through complex issues as related to construction and government contracts. Services provided will include both analysis of claims (quantum damages) as well FAR and CAS compliance related to large, complex projects.

  • Provide analysis and preparation of contract claims, bid protest cost realism analysis, contract terminations, including quantum analysis and expert report preparation.
  • Preparation of Incurred Cost Proposals in accordance with FAR.
  • Preparation of CAS Disclosure Statements.
  • Assistance with responses to government agency (DCAA, GSAOIG, etc.) audits.
  • Develop project specific financial models and tools.



How You'll Grow

  • You’ll gain experience in communication and presentation skills
  • You’ll gain efficiencies in producing detailed working paper records of reflecting assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information employed during the performance of tasks 
  • You’ll be involved in presentations and quantitative exhibits for third parties to provide updates and/or present findings 


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, and/or business administration with accounting coursework.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the government contract industry or a related profession.
  • Experience in FAR cost principles, CAS requirements, incurred cost reporting, and/or construction claims. 
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), mathematical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of PC environment and related software including Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
