About The Role
We are involved in complex, global and high-profile litigation, arbitration and investigations combining end-to-end risk advisory, investigative and disputes expertise to deliver holistic solutions for our clients.
FTI Consulting Construction Solutions is a leading global provider of commercial management, risk-based advisory, dispute resolution services and strategic communications counsel on complex projects across all construction and engineering industries.
We are seeking professionals with experience in one or more of the following areas: claims and litigation advisory services, and dispute resolution, scheduling and schedule analysis, construction management, construction contracts administration, project controls advisory services, project management, construction cost estimating, capital budgeting, and construction contract auditing and/or project auditing.
What You’ll Do
A Director will be leading/working as part of a team to assist clients through complex issues as related to the construction industry. Services provided will include but are not limited to the below:
- Project advisory support as well as dispute resolution related to large, complex construction projects
- Provide analysis and preparation of construction claims, CPM schedules and/or construction cost information
- Perform dispute related analyses such as delay, impact, differing site conditions, cost and damage as well as lost productivity analyses
- Prepare labor productivity studies
- Perform detailed project and program reviews for large capital programs
- Provide assistance and oversight of large capital projects and programs
- Implement or assist with corrective action plans related to the “recovery” of large capital projects
- Conduct business process assessments and development of business
- Oversee processes for the successful execution and management of large capital projects
- Conduct contract compliance audits
- Develop sections of reports and presentations
- Recruit, train, and mentor a support group of professionals who specialize in construction industry consulting and related litigation support
How You’ll Grow

- You’ll gain efficiencies in maintaining detailed working paper records of reflecting assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information employed during the performance of all tasks
- You’ll be involved in presentations and quantitative exhibits for third parties to provide updates and/or present findings

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management, finance, or related field
- 6+ years’ experience in the construction industry or a related profession
- Experience in capital projects management, construction claims and critical path method (CPM) scheduling experience.
- Proficiency in PC environment, Microsoft Office, and Primavera (P6)
- Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Power BI, Relativity, Bluebeam, and Tableau
- Ideal candidates will hold one or more of the following certifications: certified public accountant (CPA), certified fraud examiner (CFE), certified construction auditor (CCA), Professional Engineer (PE), AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP), AACE Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
