About The Role

FTI’s Healthcare practice is seeking a seasoned professional with prior management and hands-on experience in the effective delivery of strategy and digital enablement. As a Director, you will leverage your consulting background and/or industry expertise to manage the daily activities of high-performing, interdisciplinary teams to develop dynamic strategic, analytical, digital, and operational solutions for our clients. You will partner with Senior Directors, Managing Directors, and Senior Managing Directors to manage projects and be accountable for project scope as well as coordinating multiple work streams to deliver a successful, timely outcome for our clients. This role sits at the intersection of healthcare operations, digital strategy, and business transformation. The ideal candidate understands the healthcare ecosystem, including health systems and investor-backed health services, and can apply strategic, digital, and innovative frameworks to improve operational performance, patient and provider experience, and financial outcomes. This role will lead client engagements, manage project teams, develop strategic and tactical recommendations, and guide healthcare organizations in maximizing the value of their digital and strategic priorities.

 

What You’ll Do

 

Foundational Consulting Skills:

  • Manage, motivate, and mobilize teams to perform to the highest level

  • Effectively frame critical strategic issues for client and team

  • Develop sound analytics and work plans to address critical issues and effectively communicate these to team members

  • Define engagement results in terms that align with unique client needs

  • Effectively identify, develop and manage communication in all forums

  • Shape client expectations, ensuring cohesion between FTI and client personnel

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between clinical, operational, and technology stakeholders

  • Ensure quality of work products and deliverables at each stage of engagement is consistent with engagement proposal in conjunction with Junior staff

  • Pitch new ideas, products and processes to existing and prospective clients and internal departments to grow the business

  • Assist with and lead internal practice development activities

 

Digital Healthcare Expertise:

  • Develop enterprise and service-line digital health strategies aligned with organization growth and priorities.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage digital capabilities to improve access, engagement, experience, and care coordination.

  • Support healthcare organizations in prioritizing digital and strategic investments and translating priorities into clear transformation plans and measurable metrics.

  • Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and financial modeling to support decision-making.

  • Design strategies that improve the end-to-end patient / provider journey.

  • Support the development of digital engagement strategies that improve patient outcomes and retention and financial metrics.

  • Lead digital implementation initiative from strategy to vendor selection to execution.

  • Respond to client proposal requests and market presentations using clear storytelling techniques that differentiate offered services from competitive alternatives.

What You Will Need To Succeed

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Informational Systems, or related field of study

  • 6+ years of post-graduate professional experience

  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI Offices

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in professional services consulting or health care technology or innovation functions

  • Project management experience (Lean Six Sigma, Project Management Certification (PMP), or Agile Methodologies)

  • Experience with digital healthcare capabilities (telehealth, digital front door, patient engagement platforms)

  • Experience supporting large health systems, provider organizations, healthcare IT organizations, or healthcare services companies

  • Experience converting relationships into sales efforts

  • Experience creating sales collateral materials and converting them to sales

  • Experience writing/editing RFPs/LOEs
