About The Role 

 

In our Restructuring practice, we support companies facing challenging financial circumstances with a motivated, experienced and hands-on team. We are there to help our customers when it really matters and the sense of urgency is high. For example with an IBR, turnaround advisory or complete restructuring support, both from a financial and an operational perspective. We work for a broad range of clients; banks, debt funds, private equity and corporates. We make a difference with our pragmatic approach and a team of experienced entrepreneurial professionals.

What You’ll Do 

 

  • Assisting with the delivery of our core offering either restructuring advisory or performing self-directed Business Reviews ("IBRs"). This will include: 
  • Assisting in the assessment the fundamental drivers of the business, and the reasons for variances and underperformance 
  • Assisting in establishing the viability and optimal strategy of a business 
  • Performing complex data studies and interpretating results 
  • Assisting in putting together restructuring plans (also via WHOA)
  • Liaising with clients directly; and 
  • Communicating findings, written or orally  

 

  • Assisting with the development of the business through: 
  • Conducting research into potential opportunities and processing market intelligence opportunities
  • Preparing pitch presentations
  • On-the-job mentoring of juniors and sharing best practices to assist in their development 
  • Building your personal and professional network by attending events

What You Will Need to Succeed  

 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • You have 5-7 years of  experience in restructuring or corporate finance or you have 7-8 years of experience in a tier one consultancy firm 
  • You have completed a Bachelor's and/or a Master’s degree  

 

Skills and Competencies 

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both written and verbally
  • Ability to analyse complex financial information as input for decision-making
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders with different levels of seniority, including C-suite 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team
  • International travel will be required as part of this position
  • Professional in English and/or Dutch is required
